Cruz wants to increase H-1B visas 5 fold so he is the conductor of the cheap labor express.
This fallacy has got to stop.
An H1B Visa is only for the most highly skilled people. They are NOT ANYWHERE NEAR “CHEAP LABOR”.
I know this because I used to work for a Japan-owned company in San Jose. I processed lots of H1B Visa’s for engineers in Japan (who were working for the parent company).
DON’T EVER LET ANYBODY TELL YOU H1B VISA’s ARE FOR CHEAP LABOR - THEY NEVER ARE. The process is long and expensive to bring this type of worker here. They are the best and brightest. We should want this type of worker if we are ever going to have an industrial complex again.
