Reduction in military strength not as hard on Kansas
Nationwide, the Army plans to cut 40,000 soldiers from its ranks, bringing its total down to 450,000 soldiers by September 2017. The most recent round of cuts will hit the states of Alaska, Georgia and Texas the hardest with reductions ranging from 2,600 to 3,400 positions each at three bases.

The U,S claims a EEZ out 200 NM offshore. However, last time I checked we have not ratified the Law of The Sea Treaty.
If I am correct about that then some really pesky questions should be asked about exactly how the fedgov has any jurisdiction there to regulate things like fisheries. As all the federal fishery regulations now conform to Agenda 21, The Rio Declaration and Sustainable Development which are communist inspired UN policies that have decimated the American seafood industry. Those questions deserve to be asked.
