A visibly perturbed Jeb Bush escalated his war of words with Donald Trump on Tuesday, blasting the Republican frontrunner as "not a conservative” in English- and Spanish-language interviews during a Miami campaign event.
“He attacks me every day — he personalizes everything,” Bush said in Spanish to reporters, giving one of his most personal responses to Trump that his rival won’t hear in English.
“If you’re not totally in agreement with him, you’re an ‘idiot,’ you’re ‘stupid,’ you have ‘low energy,’ blah, blah, blah,” Bush said, in a sign that Trump’s criticisms of his energy levels are getting to the former Florida governor. “That’s what he does.”
Asked if the campaign was getting personal, Bush told an English-speaking reporter: “It’s all personal for him, sure — mischaracterizations of my views, longstanding views. I’ve written a book about it. If he was interested in actually knowing my views, he could read the book. And he would know that I’m for border security and in a practical way that won’t cost hundreds of billions of dollars like what he’s proposed.”

How can I possibly believe Jeb Bush is the slightest bit conservative, when he does not even believe in the first principal articulated in our nation’s first founding document, the Declaration of Independence — and that is the right to life. As a conservative governor, would not he see it as his most fundamental duty to protect the life of Terry Schiavo at all costs, even the cost of his own career? Don’t tell me he is a conservative, he is just another opportunistic political hack who will do whatever is expedient to further his career. I hope Jeb Bush never ever occupies public office again!
