The media assures: Donald Trump cant possibly win.
The GOP Establishment assures: Donald Trump cant possibly win.
Hmmm. Where have we heard this kind of thing before? To be specific? Right here when Ronald Reagan ran for president.
New York Times: Reagans candidacy is patently ridiculous.
New York Times: The astonishing thing is that this amusing but frivolous Reagan fantasy is taken so seriously by the news media. It makes a lot of news, but it makes no sense.
New Republic: Ronald Reagan to me is still the posturing, essentially mindless and totally unconvincing candy man that hes been in my opinion ever since I watched his first try for the Republican nomination evaporate in Miami in 1968.
New Republic: Reagan is Goldwater revisited He is a divisive factor in the party.
Harpers magazine: That he should be regarded as a serious candidate for President is a shame and an embarrassment for the country at large to swallow.
Chicago Daily News: The trouble with Reagan, of course, is that his positions on the major issues are cunningly phrased nonsense "
Time: Republicans now must decide whether he represents a conservative wave of the future or is just another Barry Goldwater calling on the party to mount a hopeless crusade against the twentieth century.
Newsweek: Ronald Reagan is a man whose mind and nerve and mediagenic style have never been tested in Presidential politics and may not be adequate to the trial.
National Review: Reagans image remains inchoate.
At the outset of his campaign, his image is largely that of the role-playing actor pleasant on stage, but ill-equipped for the real world beyond the footlights. Reagan does not yet project the presidential image. He is not seen as a serious man.

We shall see.....we shall see. We live in exciting times.
It doesn't say they'll choose the right one, but I'd say Trump's election would make a pretty definitive case for the people's exercise of that passage.
We’re ready!..Have mercy, we’re ready!!!!!!
so many years ...
so many different people ...
so mant different situations ....
so many learning experiences ....
Learning experiences ?
You mean, I thought I once knew but then I got LEARNED ?
Hmmmmm .... guess I'll have to change my mind about THAT one.
“ONE word from Trump and the nation’s 6 million plus guns would be at the ready, no longer an internet statistic.”...
I think you have grossly underestimated the amount of fire power “We, The People” have. I also believe that any armed conflict will have to be quick and decisive since most who are armed have minimal amounts of ammunition to support any insurrection. The best way to kill a snake is to cut off the head. You may not get a second chance.
These donors must have inherited their dough.
No one with the brains to earn it would back Romney.
Trump must tread carefully because the MSM developed an immune response after Reagan.
They did a post-mortem and blamed themselves for not taking Reagan out and creating a two-decade interruption in the “transformation of America”. They’ve taken steps to ensure that never happens again.
Exhibit A is the absolute, literal early destruction of Sarah Palin.
Here's the difference: Sarah didn't have the GOP establishment or really any money to defend and attack.
Trump doesn't have the gop establishment, but he has tons of money and all it can buy.
Sarah wasn't used to the viciousness of the press. Trump has lived with it for decades and learned how to use it for his benefit.
I don’t disagree at all. What we are faced with today as a result of GOPe’s treachery and Obama’s usurpation of the rule of law is a complete lack of faith in government as it now stands. You can see this in Trump’s numbers.
You have Ted Cruz, even Carson would be great running mates...
Trump is a different bird. He might evolve over time into a more conservative, but right now he’s an unpolished man of action, whom we’ve NEVER seen before as president.
George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Teddy Roosevelt
If someone decides they won’t understand, there’s nothing you can do to stop them.
Another difference... Trump is head Banana. Palin was forced to do as told...and looking back, it’s obvious she was held in contempt by her assigned handlers.
