Ten thousand Icelanders have offered to welcome Syrian refugees into their homes, as part of a Facebook campaign launched by a prominent author after the government said it would take in only a handful. After the Icelandic government announced last month that it would only accept 50 humanitarian refugees from Syria, Bryndis Bjorgvinsdottir encouraged fellow citizens to speak out in favour of those in need of asylum.
In the space of 24 hours, 10,000 Icelanders – the country’s population is 300,000 – took to Facebook to offer up their homes and urge their government to do more.

Iceland has pretty consistent weather year-round. It doesn’t really get very cold in the winter, because of the jet stream.
It’s not like Northern Canada, which doesn’t benefit from a jet stream.

All cold as fyuq, and have relatively large muslim refugee populations.
The weather in Sweden, Norway and Minnesota doesn't seem to faze them.
They seem to be thriving and reproducing prolifically in Northern Michigan.
In a year or two we will be reading horror stories about all of the rapes, honor killings, murder of Christians, beheadings and "random 'lone wolf attacks" that are suddenly taking place all over the country and all of the "officials" and media will have absolutely no clue as to the "possible motive" for these 7th century acts of unbridled barbarism.
Europe will have to replace their self-loathing & stop the invasion or it will not exist. Same here too.

But they have to commit to house and feed them indefinitely or until they can support themselves.
We have lots of Syrian refugees in my city. Most are Muslim, have an entitlement attitude and are very ungrateful and demanding.
Finally, I learn of a developed country that makes Sweden and Norway look conservative.

I believe the expression ‘looking for work’ is beyond the intentions/desirers of such refugees.

Pretty much, and regrettably they’re exposing their children to thoroughly detrimental circumstances.
It’s all going to end very badly.
Unreal. The government insisted on only 50 refugees. Now 3% of the population is demanding more refugees.
