Armed Black Panther members marched in front of the Waller County jail and shouted, Youre gonna stop doing what youre doing, or we will start creeping up on you in the darkness.
The statement was made just two weeks prior to the assassination of a Harris County deputy sheriff.
Shannon Miles, a black male, allegedly came creeping up behind Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth in the darkness on the night of August 28. While Goforth stood at a convenience store pumping gas into his patrol vehicle, Miles allegedly raised a pistol and shot him dead.
The comments, made by a leader of the Houston-based chapter of the New Black Panther Party, were captured on a short video clip (below) from the scene by the Houston Chronicle.

Why did you feel the need to go there?
A short web search will reveal: Over the past 20 years, authorities have made more than a quarter of a billion arrests, the Federal Bureau of Investigation estimates. As a result, the FBI currently has 77.7 million individuals on file in its master criminal databaseor nearly one out of every three American adults.
Now I believe there a lot of bad folks out there, but not 1/3 of the population. I am concerned that we have a government and legal system so grossly out of control that each and every one of us can be found guilty of some (petty or unconstitutional) law at the fickle whim of law enforcement. The goal of the bloated government is to make us all part of "the system".

Sure, no difference in Romney and Obama. I guess Romney would have let this crap keep going on.
I would say just wait until one of them murders a white infant, but that’s already been done.
I read Megan’s reply. I just did not understand your question to her prior post. Were you implying her opinion was biased based on a bad experience?
Why is a cop in uniform ever alone in today’s America?
I bet tens of thousands of cops are alive today because they had a partner...
Ummmm. Yeah. Based on her post I predicted correctly.
It is considered good FR etiquette to ping those FReepers you name or quote...
So you don’t believe law enforcement needs to held accountable to the citizenry it supposedly serves?
Why are terrorists allowed to have a rally? For facial recognition?
Back in April, the armed NBP marched to the Texas capitol in Austin yelling, A pig is a pig thats what I said, the only good pig is a pig thats dead and Oink! Oink! Bang! Bang! Nothing was done about them. The local news was either ordered not to report on it or they were too scared to or because Austin is uber lib. No one I asked in Austin knew anything about it. Let a white group do that and they'd have been jailed immediately and it'd have made national headlines for three weeks.
The Texas police know where they live. And if they decide to resist, “crossfire” tends to favor the police.
:)
No, you didn't. I posted this on here before so it's not like this is any secret.
My father the meth-head raped me when I was 16. He went to prison for it, too. My mother was also a meth-head and after my father went to prison we had social workers out to the house all the time and then the Sheriff's would show up in the dark hours and kick in the door and I'd get handcuffed and made to sit in the back of a car or I'd get taken away to foster care. No knocks, no warrants, and if I complained I got SCREAMED AT by the deputies.
And I was the person they were supposedly worried about. But it was never about me it was just about them getting off on power. I mean what good is power if you don't use it all the time?
Now I live in Wyoming and we have GREAT law enforcement! Here if a cop stops you and asks if you have a rifle he asks you what you think of it and how's it do with prairie dogs. Totally different world. The cops here CARE about us and they make it clear. California not so much.
I've seen this from both sides and if our cops are great people I don't see why anyone else shouldn't have the same. No one should have to be in fear for their lives when they see a cop. But these days I completely understand it when some people are.
It also amazes me the irony of some FReepers who posts nonsense like how if you don't run from the police they won't kill you...which acknowledges the fact that some police are so dangerous they'll shoot you in the back when you are JUSTIFIABLY running for your life!
The thing no one gets here is that the behavior of the bad cops puts the good cops at risk because some people are going to feel threatened by EVERY cop just because some cops have been bad to them. It took me a while to get over feeling scared when I see a Park County SD although I admit I'm not 100% comfortable with them yet. That's my problem, not theirs.
Okay?
‘house’ means apartment to me. Anywhere I live is my ‘house’. FYI.
They even wear clothing that announces they are thugs. But only they can call themselves that. Not you, racist!
Creeping up on NBPs in the darkness is now preemptive self-defense.
