This isn’t really a social issue. This is an understanding reality issue. It’s not your boss’ job to help you enact your moral code. If something about your job goes against your moral code you need to find another job. Just like Muslim cabbies transporting alcohol. It is quite simply not her call to make. It would be the same if she objected to divorcees getting married. It would be the same if she objected to people not wanting kids getting married. It would be the same if she was against an atheist against religious people getting married because then they’re going to raise kids in that religion. None of those are her call to make. Her job is to process the paperwork, if she won’t do it she should leave.

Agreed, this is a settled argument under the law, and this woman does not have a leg to stand on legally, she will lose here legal cases. She needs to do the job she is paid to do, or find another job or be fired for insubordination. The attempted argument that she is having her freedom of religion infringed upon by this is laughable.

If her religion prevents her from fulfilling her job requirements it is time for her to find new employment. She will lose any legal action she takes.
