A Response to Free Republic Trump Critics
Vanity

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:43:37 AM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

Why Trump?

1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.

2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.

> “Yes....... ALL OF THEM.. even the ones in the armed services.. that died.. Simply; To BE a democrat is to be a Traitor..”

Now you’re gone too far. My father was a democrat, a conservative democrat that died n the 1960s serving his country. He was a great patriot.

To say that he and all others like him were traitors is outrageous.

Most rank and file democrats of the greatest generation were conservative but their party has since been taken over by a hard-core left.

Ronald Reagan was a conservative democrat and became a republican when he saw his party steer hard left. He was the farthest thing imaginable from that of a traitor.

Donald Trump is from the same generational culture as Reagan. He is almost 70 years old. He remembers his heritage and it shows in his love for our veterans.

Donald Trump has had to deal with liberals and as a businessman he has had to put his politics aside and deal with liberals and appear compatible with them.

In 1990 when the real estate crash occurred due in large part to GHW Bush’s policies, Donald Trump was bankrupt and worth less than zero. He remarked at that time that he stared at a homeless man sitting on the street fumbling with a dollar bill and he said at that time that this homeless man was richer than he was. As a result of the collapse in real estate values Donald’s marriage fell apart and his businesses also started to fall apart. But he was not broken and would not bow, It was only through his passionate arguments and pleas with New York banks that he managed to save his assets. And you can bet that he owed some favors and as a result had to put his politics aside. He’s no different in this respect than millions of other business people that do not ordinarily allow normal political differences to get in the way of making proper lawful business decisions.

Trump never forgave Bush and I imagine even today he detests a lot of the Bush family because the same situation in banking was allowed to emerge under GW Bush. The Bush family allows their bankers to run roughshod over everyone without consequence even of the law. Bush prosecuted none of the leading bankers responsible for the subprime crisis even though longtime seasoned veteran SEC investigators had overwhelming evidence to hang some of the prominent bankers such as the head of Morgan-Stanley. But GW Bush’s people in Treasury ordered those investigators to stand down or to be ignored. There were lots of heated discussions at the time about this here on FR. The dereliction by Bush along with his 2006 Comprehensive Immigration Amnesty push and other huge liberal expansions of government were more than enough for the American electorate to turn against him causing the republicans to lose Congress to democrats and to eventually put a Marxist in the White House.

We can understand why Trump is not happy with the Bush family and the GOPe. We can also see, and he has said directly, that he is tremendously disappointed in Obama and what he sees as a horribly incompetent left not just in Washington DC but also, as he has remarked directly, in Blasio of NYC.

But in the latest banking crisis Trump came out on top because he had learned from the 1990 S&L crisis not to leverage his businesses to the extent that they might be over-leveraged in the event of another banking collapse, and to generate great free cashflow with plenty of liquidity on tap to scoop up prime properties at a discount if such a collapse were to occur. That’s just smart and that’s what he’s done.

Now that Trump owes nobody, now that he’s of the age where people have an urge to give back and now that he sees his country in great jeopardy, he is free to he himself. And it is proven, not just evidenced, but ***proven*** who he really is right here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3330070/posts?page=79#79

and also described in the post that the above link responds to, which is here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3330070/posts?page=24#24

As a politician Donald Trump has been trying to hold on to both his liberal and GOP contacts to keep them close. But the attacks by the press, by the GOPe, and the extreme corruption, incompetence and deceit of Hillary has left him no choice but to stand on his own beliefs. Hence, he has made new allies that are aligned with his vision; allies such as Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator Ted Cruz, Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin, Tea Party leadership and others. That’s a good start. But to win the election and to get needed legislation through Congress he needs to show the democrats and the GOPe that he is the boss. He will hold out a carrot on a stick for them and say a few things that gets them to look up in confusion. For example, he says “maybe we should fund Planned Parenthood if they don’t do abortions. I want to be the greatest President for women’s health issues.” In that statement he intends to defund PP if they continue doing abortions but at the same time he reassures America’s women that he won’t abandon their health concerns. That’s Politics 101.

As Ted Cruz says “This election boils down to one thing, TRUST!”. Our decision regarding Donald Trump boils down to precisely that. And for me, I want to know I can believe that Donald Trump will do what he says he will do, in other words that he has strong integrity. The links above along with a track record of creating strong and beautiful things in all that he has done, without giving up, close the deal for me. In his past as a businessman he’s been confused, but as a politician that now bows to nobody, he’s the real deal.

Remember “The little hand grenade with the bad haircut” (Perot)? He did flush out and upset many of the establishment types who were flying under the radar, even though it turned out the Hand Grenade had little of substance to offer.

Well, now we have the “Big Hand Grenade with the bad comb over” (Trump). It remains to be seen if he has more to offer than Perot. Likely he does. In either event, we have 18+ months to find out.

Time enough.

Thanks for the BEEP(s)!

Many Differences between Trump & Perot!

Trump has 50 times better name recognition than
Perot had, from the starting gate.

Trump is a foot taller & looks presidential.
Perot looked like door to door salesman.

Trump can hold people’s interest when he talks.
Perot had a high pitched voice, and always needed charts to make a point.

Trump is running as a republican.
Perot ran 3rd party.

Trump has double digit leads in every state except Ohio.
Perot never led polls in any state.

Perot actually dropped out of the race, then rejoined.
Trump has shown no indication of dropping out.

Trump has extensive experience in using social media.
Perot had no such advantage.

Europeans are never right on social or economic issues.

The Krauts are good on automotive engineering; the rest are bumbling tag-alongs.

Now at least we know you’re Greek.

Arrogant, ignorant, overly verbose, socialist.

Unfortunately, the GOPe is going to use this as a reason to push Bush or Rubio right up to the end.
.........................................................

Bush AND Rubio are dead meat in Florida. The establishment thought it was a shoo-in for either. They were wrong.

Trump is leading in Florida. Bush is dead because of Common Core and Amnesty. Rubio is dead because of his turning traitor and joining the gang of eight. He is also for amnesty. A GREAT BIG NO GO IN Florida.

But Perot had a bigger share of support than Trump can ever hope for.

Trump’s liberal record will hold him to a spoiler position, but that’s all he ever wanted anyway.

He’s in this to block a conservative from getting the nomination, and if they get the nomination he goes Turd party.
