A Response to Free Republic Trump Critics
Vanity

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:43:37 AM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

Why Trump?

1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.

2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.

I already stated I no longer care about liberal v. conservative.

That seems to be a common response from Trump supporters. You cannot defend his liberalism so you say you just don't care. How sad for America.

Liberals are destroying this country, be they liberal democRATs or liberal Republicans. It is imperative we defeat them and their unsustainable ideology, not elect them because we ""no longer care about liberal v. conservative"

That IS the most important issue, more so than any other.

Wouldn't you rather have John Bolton, reporting to Donald Trump, in charge of this Iran deal fiasco?

I don't trust liberal Donald Trump to appoint Bolton. Given the enormity of his lies in this election (pretending to be conservative being #1) there is no reason to trust Trump on anything.

How do you trust a man (be he liberal or conservative since you apparently don't care) who is clearly lying about his ideology?

Thats a bit of brilliant double-speak.. cudos...

It's "kudos" and thank you.

AND you think THAT “logic” will make it on Free republic....
You seem to have wandered into a conservative NEST....
THE conservative nesting place for conservatives..

I've been a regular here at Free Republic for just over fifteen years.

Do you put loyalty to label ahead of the survival of your country?

I have used the name Mollypitcher exclusively for many, many years, both in Europe and America. I DO post on numerous blogs and on a variety of subjects. Satisfied?

How can this be construed as a satisfactory answer to a yes/no question?

Ted Cruz is the only real option I can see..
Walker and Carson are indeed conservatives, maybe Paul..
..........................................................

Ted Cruz WAS my first choice, but he made two horrendous mistakes. The Iran Deal and the Trans Pacific Trade Deal. These are not light weight errors, or simple baggage. These are anchors which may drown him.

I have been watching Walker for a long time, and have been disappointed to see his flip flopping on amnesty which is number ONE with me.

Ben Carson is NOT QUALIFIED to run the country. He is a too nice guy, with no depth in International affairs and a score of other things like weak on gun rights and favors amnesty. Surgeon General yes, but President NO.

Paul is simply too much like his father. I want a strong military and America to be number one again.

True, Trump is an unknown quantity, but I am certain he will , as president, surround himself with WINNERS, not LOSERS as we have now. His pride and bombast are an advantage, and he knows how to use them. The man is brilliant and one must recognize that.

Eternally insisting on a CONSERVATIVE even if the conservative is a loser is a losing proposition for me. I like Trump’s instincts. For now, until such time as he makes a misstep, I will support him. I will NOT abandon him simply because he is not a lily white conservative.

TRUMP is not tested, proven and confirmed even as a republican let alone a conservative..

He could BE... WHO KNOWS?.. I don’t.. neither does anyone else..
AS President NOW.?... with his baggage?.. What are they CRAZY?

Watching closely who is fooled by him and who is not..
Even tho the election game has barely Started..

Trumps not shy has good advisors most likely will not come out of his closet..
until After the election.. i.e. Like OBAMA..

Even more simplistic, not really worth engaging with.

That IS the most important issue, more so than any other.

That's okay, you get a vote too.

I don't trust liberal Donald Trump to appoint Bolton. Given the enormity of his lies in this election (pretending to be conservative being #1) there is no reason to trust Trump on anything.

What makes you think he wasn't lying about being a liberal before?

How do you trust a man (be he liberal or conservative since you apparently don't care) who is clearly lying about his ideology?

Because I know some things about human nature and a person's ideology is not necessarily directly tied to their practical goals. Not everyone is an ideologue.

I’m not a conservative I’m a radical...

And believe ONLY radical change will help this country..
Conservative change WILL NOT..

Trumps also a RADICAL.. but for the other side...
easily researched and proven..

Any being “for” Trump are also radicals not conservatives..

If anything is apparent it’s that Trump is NOT conservative or even A conservative....

I would be for him (being a radical) IF he was for the right side.. he ISN’T... a “liberal”..
Never has been conservative, is not now, most likely will never be..

His father/mother, siblings, most all of his friends and backers are liberals.. and most of those he supports are “liberals”.. many work for him NOW..

Be nice if he was radically conservative BUT he ISN’T..

He just isn’t.. as President he would a BULL in a Maternity Ward.. i.e. taxes, tariffs, growing fed.givernment.. making deals with other liberals..

That is simplistic.

You are right, saying you do not care if you are supporting a liberal in this conservative forum is very simplistic.

What makes you think he wasn't lying about being a liberal before?

I don't think it, I know it. And there is no "before". He is as liberal now as he ever was. Those like you who are willing to support this liberal charlatan may not care (and you have made that clear) but he is very much the same liberal he has always been. He's just saying what he knows he needs to say to get you to buy into his ruse and it has worked because you have.

Because I know some things about human nature and a person's ideology is not necessarily directly tied to their practical goals. Not everyone is an ideologue.

You clearly lack even a fundamental understanding of the political machine. Ideology is totally tied to one's practical goals. It is with every candidate and in every race. Not being an ideologue is a copout.

You are supporting a liberal, you admit you don't care about ideology, and you have no defense for your said support so you claim to know about human nature. And that, my friend, is exactly how this country has gotten to where it is politically. Good show.

In presidential elections, this is a myth. Elections come down to a handful of swing states.

The way things look now, the GOP MUST carry Florida to win, this assumes that the Dem nominee will carry all of the states carried since 1992 plus New Mexico (which Kerry didn't win, but the rest did).

Unfortunately, the GOPe is going to use this as a reason to push Bush or Rubio right up to the end.

Correct. In other words, mostly worthless - but equally worthless.

OK.

I don't think they need a reason to continue their habitual slobbery over the death of the country. Bunch of ball-less, lube-assed thieving eunuchs.

True.. Trump connives with both sides.. and if there is three sides with them too..

He connives with republicans and democrats.. even libertarians..

He’s a conniver.. that connives..

A President as- Conniver in Chief, liberals would LOVE...

FOR THATS exactly what we have RIGHT NOW... i.e. Obama

I suggest “connivers” love Donald Trump because they see themselves in him..

AND would never select an honest, straight-shooter, Constitutionalist like Ted Cruz..
Becoming really obvious here on FR...

I like honest people.. I doubt Trump is.. or several of the other republican candidates..

NAH I’m going with CRUZ.. and a Justice Department that will “GELD” the connivers, with an FBI, CIA, NSA, searching them OUT..

Starting with the Executive Branch of Fed.Givernment..
then progressing radially to K Street, Congress, the Supremes... AND the Federal Workers Union..

Making an example for the States to follow.. and even local givernment..
Searching OUT America’s real enemies.. the EMBEDDED ones..

While laws are passed that will make the illegal aliens self-deport..

**NEXT week.. I’ll publish other ideas for GUTTING the federal givernment like a fish and helping the States to do the same..

Cruz is hispanic making south Florida take notice of him..

He is also a die-hard conservative making North Florida take notice of him..

He is also a brilliant speaker and has wonderful ideas..
making the rest of Florida take notice..

He could easily WIN Florida.. (I lived there for 30+ years)..

Actually this is true of most of America..

My ideal result would be Trump/Cruz 2016.

Eight years of Trump, followed by eight years of Cruz.

Eight years of gleeful deconstruction with great rage and furious anger upon the politically correct piss that passes for the water of liberty in America, and eight years of savage destruction of the world order and reestablishment of America as the preemninent, unquestioned global hyperpower.

Then eight years of Constitutional solidification.

Toss up as to whether I'll get it. But it grows more possible daily.

Would you change your support for Trump if he selected Ted Cruz as his running mate?

There is nothing that prevents Trump from making that announcement, hand in hand with Cruz, right now.
