Why Trump?
1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.
2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.
Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.
4. Forgot Likeability,which is key #4, and Trump has trouble in this category. To those who, unlike Donald Trump, were raised with an emphasis on manners, gentleness, graciousness, Trump grates like fingernails on chalkboard.
Maybe it’s a cultural thing, he’s from New York after all, where politeness is regarded as weakness and smash-mouth swaggering braggadocio is highly admired.
Would I vote for him? Yes, reluctantly. Would I invite him to my house to hang with my grandkids? No. There are already too many Hollywood bad examples dancing about.
Baloney. Many of them are Cruz supporters like me. And by the way (Cruz) is a candidate more conservative than yours. Because last I looked FR was a CONSERVATIVE Forum.
Holding the national bird is a symbol of PATRIOTISM...

Do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds? You cite a liberal publication and an unidentified pol. Is the pol liberal or conservative? A paragon of virtue (cough cough-he IS a pol, after all) or himself a known liar? Did he have an agenda? If do, what was it?

Ted Cruz has spent his time in Washington fighting the GOP, or as he terms them, the Washington cartel.
In view of that, can you explain how Cruz supporters are “shills” for the people their candidate stands against?

Btw, if you are a Walker fan, you can stop with the self righteous abortion routine. Walker himself hired Alleigh Marre as his spokesperson, and Marre is a supporter of Planned Parenthood and abortion rights.

The accusation that I am worshipping Trump is reflective of a low, limited and vile mind. And using present tense to describe Trump’s political affiliation as a Dem is a lie and a smear. Whoever you’re supporting, I want no part of him now or ever. His supporters’ tactics are too repulsive.
I am feeling PATRIOTIC. If you are not, I feel sorry for you.
Take it up with Cruz. Cruz says Trump is “terrific,” and “speaks the truth.” Cruz also says he is a big Trump fan. So take your complaints to him—he’s said more laudatory things about Trump than I ever have.
“Name another liberal you trust. If you can’t, why trust liberal Donald Trump?”
I trust Reagan Democrats more than i trust many of the current Republicans (many who fake conservative in order to get elected).
