A Response to Free Republic Trump Critics
Vanity

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:43:37 AM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

Why Trump?

1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.

2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.

'She's really a special person': Donald Trump says he would give Sarah Palin a cabinet job because she's 'tough and smart'

Hmmmm. Low forehead, wrinkled suit, greasy hair, contributing to a democrat.

Nope. He will never be president.

And I now know that a goofy-looking candid photograph is a better predictor of success than experience.

A single goofy picture is one thing and not the end of the world. The worse thing is the number of posters who eat it up, a worldview seemingly 1mm thick.

So, with Palin & Cruz squarely in Trump's corner, why all the push back?

Your bullet points are valid ones.

May mean nothing, but on her OANN Point of View programs last week, SP was playing up her identification with the word "libertarian".

Why don’t people trust Trump? Would he give us more Obamacare? More taxes? More regulations other, than the border stuff? More gay rights? More abortion? More open borders and unbalanced trade? Or would some of these things get dialed back?

If he’s a closet liberal or if he’s a RINO, then why is the GOP treating him like the tea party? Why is the press trying every trick in the book to label him a bigot or woman hater?

Maybe he’s just an imperfect man who cares about America and has the power far and above all other candidates to fix some things and dial back socialism 15 years. And FWIW, Cruz has voted for horrible things including McConnell while in the senate and he gets a free pass? I like Cruz but he’s NEVER going get past the GOP leadership.

Until Trump came into the picture, the GOP had the race saturated with milktoast candidates and their man Jeb was double digits ahead of everyone in the polls. He was cruising to the nomination!

Now if you could just tell me who to vote for, I could put this down and get busy with my household chores.

Well, you have roughly a year to decide. You can't put off your chores that long, as much as you'd like to!

Until and unless that "leadership" repents or is removed.

The border and deportation is all that matters! We no longer have a country, Trump is the only one who has the balls to deport people! Abortion and all those other things do not matter right now. Once we lose the country, those things will be cemented in place forever.

Trump is not a politician, he is a business man and has had to play the game to keep from being messed with. He is not a pure conservative on every issue but he is on the ones that count right now.

I think he loves America and once in office he would not enact policies that damage the country further. He would not expand abortion or common core or the massive debt spending because he would be asking “how does this help make America great again?”

Well one thing...Trump hasn’t had 3 different positions in a week on birthright citizenship. He has clarity and is leading the illegal debate.

"Child, have your parents get a refund on the percentage of taxes that they paid for your education."

If that is the best argument you can make to refuted his assertion then I think it's you that lacks an education.

So you believe a country can be sovereign with wide open borders? You believe the current flood of foreign invaders can continue without (further and irrevocably) destroying the social fabric of America, along with its economy? You’re fine with rapidly sliding toward third world status? The fact that foreign invaders already enjoy more rights, privileges and benefits than US citizens is fine with you?

RINO Scotty (open Mexican borders, build a Canadian wall)Walker has the brain of a chestnut. Not only is george will his main influence, but I now believe he is a complete dumb-ass like Rick Perry.

Headline news.

It appears that the “media” interpreted Walker’s answer to a question and made it a headline.

Then they said he had to clarify (the media’s mistake).

So now the story becomes that Walker changed his mind.

Interesting how that works.

But Trump can swing back and forth on positions, like a screen door in the breeze, and all you hear are crickets.

I'm afraid you'll have to go down the list and show me where Wayne said those things, if he indeed did say them at all.

When did Walker ever advocate for open borders?

Explain why Walker (upon taking office in 2011) is the only governor to revoke instate tuition for illegals?

Cause he tells you so and you believe it.

That is why I never tell campaign workers what I want to hear from their candidate. I tell them I want to know what the candidate thinks.

Don'tcha know, that all his ideological meandering is due to "good business?" He supports the Kelo decision because of "good business," along with his closeness to the Clintons.
