Since nothing of the sort happened, I guess I don’t get the joke. The Jews were slaughtered like sheep. They didn’t have squads of Jewish GIs killing Nazis with baseball bats and carving swastikkas into their foreheads, and they didn’t kill all the Nazi leaders by setting fire to a movie theater. I don’t get what was clever about depicting that. There are so many Obama-voting dumbasses in the world now, they probably think it really happened.
It’s an alternate history. A revenge fantasy. That’s all. It’s supposed to be emotionally satisfying, knowing what terrible people the Nazis were.
