New survey shows depth of Jeb's Bush dynasty problem
Washington Examiner ^ | 8/27/15 | Byron York

How bad is Jeb Bush's Bush problem? A new Quinnipiac poll suggests it is very bad.

The national survey shows Bush running well behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson, tied for third place in the GOP race with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. But that is not the most serious problem for Bush in the poll.

Quinnipiac pollsters asked respondents a simple, open-ended question: "What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of Jeb Bush?" Quinnipiac published a table of all the responses given five or more times. Here is the list of the top eight responses for Jeb, including the number of times people mentioned each particular word:

Bush — 136

family — 70

honest — 53

weak — 45

brother — 41

dynasty — 40 experience — 35

George — 28

By far, the first word that the most people thought of about Jeb Bush was not a word at all, but rather his last name. What's the first thing you think of when you think about Jeb? Bush. And then the next most common response was "family." And then "brother" and "dynasty" and "George." When people see Jeb, they don't think, this is an attractive candidate for president. They think "Bush."

How many times has Jeb said, "I'm my own man"? So far at least, the message hasn't gotten through.

The establishment insults us (again) by trying to cram a dynasty down our throats. Just more proof that they see us as serfs.

They are sort of stupid.

It’s not really his name, though W’s legacy does weigh him down.

It’s the fact that he’s more of a Democrat in an R jersey than even Romney or McCain.

He spends half his time campaigning in a foreign language to foreigners who can’t vote legally.

He shows more compassion for fraudulently documented foreigners than American citizens.

We want a President that loves America and Americans and he loves Mexico and Mexicans.

Just hope he stays in long enough to use up all his donated money. Both he and Hillary staying in is a good thing, because they are both going to leave a huge “hole” in their respective party’s ruling class when they are finally forced to exit.

They are sort of stupid.

They are extremely stupid. McCain. Romney. Now Bush? But it's more than mere stupidity. They're corrupt as the fool in the white house.

I would love to see the results for Hillary. But they won’t do it because they don’t want to see the answers.

The arrogance is breathtaking. You would think they would realize that having the possibility of three Presidents coming from the same family in 25 years is abhorrent to the democratic process. Surely, there are better candidates coming from a nation of 320 million.

The Clintons have the same arrogance and sense of entitlement.

He is not a fighter. When asked, “Knowing what you know now, was going into Iraq a mistake?” His response was WEAK.

Jeb should have fought hard and to the death for the Troopers who served under his brother. Those Troopers fought for the United States of America. Those Troopers deserved Jeb's loyalty. He should have said, “The mistake was voting for Obama. My brother won the war, as Biden has said. Obama lost the peace. The mistake was electing Obama. Obama gave birth to ISIS. ISIS is now at our gates and Obama is doing NOTHING. The greatest movement of people from the Mid East to the West is happening now. And Obama is doing NOTHING. Iraq is not my brother's mistake. Iraq is Obama’s mistake. Obama is America's mistake.”

I could have voted for a man, a brother who said that. If Jeb is not willing to fight for his brother, is he ready to fight for our country?

We want a President that loves America and Americans and he loves Mexico and Mexicans.

Ironically, the kindest thing you could do for Mexico is to stop being a dumping ground and force them to fix their own damn country so people don't want to risk their lives to leave.

Mexico is not particularly overpopulated as the myth goes anyway. It has a population density similar to Tennessee with the advantage of an even milder climate which allows two and even three crops to be grown during the year.

The consults for Jeb were going to have him ride in on his Hispanic wife and kiddies, speaking Spanish, for the Spanish, of the Spanish and by the Spanish.

Oopsie, wrong side of the Rio Grande, Jeb. This is still America.
