A 3rd party bid guarantees a Clinton win. Funny how history repeats itself..

How soon we forget, Debate #1
"Is there anyone on stage—can I see hands—who is unwilling tonight to pledge your support to the eventual nominee of the Republican Party and pledge to not run an independent campaign against that person? Again, we’re looking for you to raise your hand now, raise your hand now if you won’t make that pledge tonight.”

Only Trump raised his hand.

Why do they keep asking the front runner this question?

Do you remember the first debate?

Eventually there will be “Trump fatigue”, but the other candidates aren’t so hot.

What has repeated itself is Americans voting for the better of two evils which guarantees more evil. Biggest con-job of them all. And they're all pre-paid of course.☺ The funny thing is you apparently believe you have two parties, but reality screams you have but one.

Yeah, funny. And he's still here. And still on top. Why? Maybe because anyone watching that debate said, "Well, at least one person up there is honest."

Because we know that even if Yeb doesn't run third party when Trump wins---and at this rate, he would win the GOP nomination by April---you know that NONE of these guys, except Carson and Cruz---would lift a finger to support Trump.

So the premise of the question is disgusting, and the fact that only one candidate was honest is even more disgusting.

Trump will string this out and play this game til he wins the nomination, then challenge the rest of these bozos to act like men and actually support him.

No, there won't. No candidate in recent history has led in ALL the state polls by ALL pollsters (save the only WI poll---Walker---one OH poll---Kasich---and a single IA poll---Walker early on, since replaced by Trump, big) AND led in the national poll . . . for so long. It really isn't close. He is the nominee.

Right now, he would wrap up the delegates by April. He will win NH, IA, NV caucus, SC, NC, GA, FL, TX, AZ, MO, AL, and OR. He leads most of these by double-digits.

He has more money than any GOP candidate in history, and is only getting more by the day. He spends virtually nothing. His "war chest" is four or five times that of Hillary Clinton (who will be indicted or under such a legal cloud she can't win).

Trump has no need or reason to go third party, even if, as expected, the GOPe abandon him. He won't need them. It will be a joy to watch.

Well, bye. Cause he’s going to be the nominee. He’s already setting up Cruz as either his Veep or Atty Gen. I’m betting he has already set up a spot for Jeff Sessions.

And the Trump knock on effect would be even greater if the GOP plays fast and loose with the rules.

He has, I sure, already inspired others to emulate David Brat of Virginia to challenge entrenched GOPe incumbents.

The Trumb effect could cascade down the ticket on a national level. This is what they really, really fear. All politics is local when the party central committee behaves as it has done in the past election and follow up GOP betrayal. RNC will become persona non grata on the campaign trail in 2016.

Should be interesting to observe who pops up to challenge them locally.

Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be one helluva flight.

I think they should ask the RNC if Trump is the nominee if they will support HIM.

Not just that, but he needs to tell them that if they stack the deck against him, then all bets are off. No changing the rules on delegates, etc. to favor Yeb.

One race to watch will be Portman in OH. No one yet has come out against him, but he’s already trailing Strickland because of his shift on homosexual marriage and because he’s one of those guys who did absolutely NOTHING in the Senate to stop Obama.

History (and common sense) suggest that it will be the GOPe fielding a 3rd party candidate to throw the election to Hillary (or Biden).
Consider that if Trump does win the GOP nomination, he will be the first non-establishment backed candidate to do so since 1980. And how did the GOPe respond back then?
They assigned the RINO John Anderson to run 3rd party to throw the election to Jimmah Carter! Who at the time held the distinction of being the worst President in US History.
Fortunately, their plan failed only because the GOP candidate was so vastly superior to Carter and Anderson.
