The man suspected of a killing a Texas county sheriff’s deputy has reportedly been arrested at the end of a successful SWAT scene.
Fox affiliate KRIV reports Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies captured the suspect in the murder of Deputy Darren Goforth early Saturday. The man was taken into custody at Pine Falls and Sunny Ridge in northwest Harris County, according to the station.
The suspect’s mother assisted law enforcement officers in the capture of her son, KRIV reports.
Goforth, 47, was pumping gas into his patrol car at a suburban Houston gas station when a man approached him from behind and fired multiple shots, Harris County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ryan Sullivan told The Associated Press.

I am guessing that the perp has had many conflicts with the law and his mother is used to giving him an alibi, but she couldn’t lie when she heard he was wanted for murder - maybe that was a bit too much for her conscience or more likely she was afraid to be implicated in helping a murderer. I am sure we will hear interviews where she says her “baby” is really a nice man [when he isn’t shooting people in the back] and “the system” is out to get him.

Last I knew Harris County just had a person of interest in custody, no arrest or charges had been made.

Its usually not possible to charge a family member with harboring a fugitive. If she wasn’t involved beyond opening the door, she’ll walk.
Bet the rent if this is not the right suspect in custody, they will still get get the right one real soon. This was not perpetrated by some criminal mastermind. Just another extremely violent murderer.

One day there will be a reckoning for the attacks (criminal, civil and governmental) on our Law Enforcement, our Military, our way of life, our Country and our Constitution. Reminds me of the war on the so called neo nazi groups who were vocal in what is called racism but in reality wanted to remain above such things and felt the only way to remain so was to be selective in who they associated with and allowed in their community.
I would add, that the general feeling in the South at the time of the “Integration Mandate” was we are headed in the wrong direction. Both black and white at the time were more or less willingly segregated, and in general that same condition exist today regardless of mandates to the contrary.
My point being, Farrakahn and all the other race baiters pitting blacks against whites deserve no less attention than the neo nazi’s got from Government. We all know what kind of media coverage they would garner should they all get the sentence they truly deserve. They’d become even bigger celebrities if that is possible.
