Freedom of the Press and civilian control of the military are highly overrated.
“
Well, Prohibition did cut down on the number of deaths due to alcohol.
We saw well that worked.”
Not exactly. Because booze was made in ways not safe; there were chemicals in the moonshine like methanol and lead that caused blindness, Cirrhosis of the liver, and death.
There will always be unintended consequences which are usually worse than the original issue.
Obviously disarming America can’t happen. It would result in a civil war as it should. It would be one way to cull the libs from the mass of people I suppose. I doubt said libs would be very happy about it.
If I could have one wish; it would be for all liberals to immediately leave America and go to the liberal/communist/socialist country of their choosing.
What is more dangerous than deleting the Second Amendment? Without it, the First Amendment means nothing. You sure as heck couldn’t depend on government to protect your free speech rights after having taken away your right to bear arms, could you?
You have to hit these people where they live. The very false premises upon which they base their entire existence. A journalist is the lowest form of life on this planet, IMO.
I disagree that this is where they live. "Journalists" would be pleased as punch to see the First Amendment shut down. Then they could publish their government-sanctioned propaganda without any voices to the contrary.
Not in the slightest. He'd be thrilled to see black folk 'necklacing' white folk.
We disagree. They wouldn’t be harping about it all the time if they didn’t feel it was for them. Untouchable, sacrosanct, reverent and all that. Pompous a$$holes.
I can no longer “agree to disagree”. You will simply need to come around to my way of thinking. :)
Thanks for the link.

Barro forgets: that was exactly what finally sparked the American Revolution.
That is, of course, your FIRST AMENDMENT right to do so! :0)
.... and the thread circle is complete. :)
Whorealdo went ballistic on The Five yesterday when they were discussing the Murders of the Reporter and the Cameraman. It wasn’t the aggrieved Black Homosexual Democrat Obama Lover, it was the Gun.
In part, he told Gutfeld that he would trade eliminating the 14th Amendment (due to his belief that it applies to Illegals - which it doesn’t BTW) for the 2nd Amendment.
As usual, he was all excited and was interrupting everyone. Just another Jorge Ramos with a Moustache. Two douches...
Don’t watch the show, just caught on my XM when driving.
So Mr. Barro can start his little Totalitarian vendetta by confiscating firearms from black males. That should go over real well...
Let me know when you cross 110th Street and how that goes.
....okay....as long as that’s not anything like a Drum Circle.....you’re not a hippie are you? :0)
Thanks for the link...great read. And, Mr. Cooke is absolutely right.
I think there will be a lot of people echoing your sentiment, Laz. I would not at all be surprised if it comes to fruition, and likely sooner than later.
The tyrants on the left, and their liberal useful idiots, are going to write a check that will bounce big time.
Unreal, isn’t it?
Mara Salvatrucha gang members maintain contact between groups in the United States and El Salvador for several specific reasons. In El Salvador, a hand grenade sells for $1.00-$2.00 U.S. currency and an M-16 rifle will sell for approximately $200.00-$220.00 U.S. dollars. This communication and alliance provides a mechanism for MS gang members to access military-style munitions and also establishes a network to traffic illegal firearms into the United States. Link
According to The Guardian, MS-13 has 10,000 members in the US and El Salvador. From Wikipedia: There were at least 30,000 gangs and 800,000 gang members active across the USA in 2007 (not just MS-13)
If the good people's guns are confiscated, guess who will be left with all the firepower?
