There no contest on competency.
OTOH, as always proceed with caution. I support Cruz but love Trump! It is still a long way to November.
I hope they BOTH make it...
Yes, well, thanks for that....but I gotta tell you, that's gonna irk some of the doubters and the haters......
He sure doesn’t need to spend money on media. They cover him day and night, for free.
None of us know how this is going to play out, nor do you know that Ted can't fill the shoes of the Donald yet. Nor do we know if Donald can fill the shoes of the Donald yet.
I wouldn't be so despairing as to say the Donald is our only hope (Obiwan), nor so foolish as to say that Donald can't become a great president.
The point I'm making, is there is a looong way to go, and it's going to be a rockin, rollin, roller coaster ride. We need to buckle up, do what we can, and hope we get off the ride in one piece.
He only appears to be strengthening.
To me, his biggest weakness is his mouth. Most people love it when he throws verbal bombs at his opposition, and says things that most others are afraid to say, but if he says something just a little too far over the line, just once, it can all come to an end... and the media is all too anxious to take ANY word and twist it against him at any moment.
Nope. He's been consistent on the things I mentioned.
As long as he doesn't begin to visit a tanning booth. How long until Trump goes after Boehner and McConnell like he has knocked off his critics of late?
Shots at Boehner and McConnell followed by a standing ovation from 20,000 people will make those two feel so loved!
It’s just a saying, I hope you realize that.
Excellent point?
Is that what you’re hoping for?
The truth is that not everybody can be the Alinsky Man.
We all wish that now that Trump has shown the way (by crossing over the Rubicon), our own preferred candidate will simply pick up his battle and lead us to the other side.
It doesnt really work that way.For some people (including FReepers here), abortion is their #1 issue; others, religion; yet it seem more people find illegal immigration is the top priority so far. For that, I am grateful for the general public opinion as we face a foreign invasion in our country.
Recently folks who come here illegally (and even legal immigrants, including those ME refugees Obama's been importing) don't want to be assimilated and becoming one of us. They just want to take over the country. And we have politicians of every stripes and media being very accommodating to it. In other countries, it is an all out war.
Finally I'll post what Subotai Bahadur wrote on the Belmont Club: "Either the country is worth defending, or it is not a country." (Rant off)
Quite frankly, none of these six items present a problem for Trump.
If they had only grilled 0bama like that, than that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave would have never been elected.
I am sure you know that.
I don’t know if you realize, but Senator Cruz and Donald Trump get along very well
Yes—I realize that. My dream team would be a Cruz/Trump ticket, in either order.
Regarding conservatism: it is not like 'conservative' Supreme Court appointees have done a whole lot of good on issues conservatives care about. We have gay marriage and retain Obama Care. Conservatives appear to have trouble defunding Planned Parenthood even after Gosnell and the baby-parts-express revelations. With Trump we might win on the wall and be no worse off on other things.
5) He May Be Reluctant To Spend Money:
Actually this could be a problem. It is not clear how much of wealth is liquid. If much of his wealth is actually embodied in buildings and the abstract concept of 'brand' he may have much less than a ¡Jeb! size budget. He may be relying on bluff-and-bluster and a lot of free air time. So far that seems to working but there will likely be a time when he needs to spend decent sums of money, on ads and ground-game. If that happens will he decide golf and helicopters are more fun than presidential runs?

I am sure you know that.
His path was paved and paid for at a young age obviously (grandparents, FMD, Tom Ayers / Bill Ayers, Saudi Arab connections, Soros, etc...all socialists / Communists except for the Arab connection). Hell O reportedly told a postman he was going to be a president while walking out of Tom Ayers house, an engineer in Russia wa sold by a KGB agent that a black man named Barack from Hawaii was going to be president later in the early 90’s. For all intents and purposes O is Rosemary’s Baby and Damien Thorne combined.
