So, more thoughts on Donald Trumps candidacy, because I cant stop being fascinated.
You know the latest numbers. Quinnipiac Universitys poll this week has Mr. Trump at a hefty 28% nationally, up from 20% in July. Public Policy Polling has Mr. Trump leading all Republicans in New Hampshire with 35%. A Monmouth University poll has him at 30% in South Carolina, followed 15 points later by Ben Carson.
Here are some things I think are happening.
One is the deepening estrangement between the elites and the non-elites in America. This is the area in which Trumpism flourishes. Well talk about that deeper in.
Second, Mr. Trumps support is not limited to Republicans, not by any means.

I’m hopeful Trump will address that.
The TDS burns.
Noonan was a speechwriter. Nothing more. And she suffers from a common speechwriter malady. She thinks she is a political expert and fancies herself a policy maker when she wrote speeches.
I have in-laws who are from Cuba. They listen to many of the spanish media. They say it is shocking how relentless is the push to convince illegals that RATs are their saviors. The brain-washing on the spanish media is relentless and unending.
By design. The push for illegals will create a bi-lingual nation where the Spanish speaking media will drive America into Amerika.
Arnold Schwarzenegger did great with Hispanics because they like the macho candidates with lots of name recognition. Donald Trump will do the same as Hillary gets flushed down the toilet once and for all and we have no more Clintons bothering us.
If you ever watch the "Spanish" news hour you will be amazed how night after night immigration (legal and illegal) is one third of the broadcast. Immigration is treated very seriously while in Washington DC it has been treated as a joke and a way to get revenge on the historic American people. Treated as one big in your face FU to the American people.
The two party cabal in Washington DC only have themseleves to blame for creating Donald Trump.
How do you read these articles? I’ve had an account set up on there from years back. I try signing in, and it shows my name as signed in at the top of the screen, but the article is still blocked and asking me to subscribe or sign in. You guys who are readying aren’t all subscribers, are you?
Noonan is a fantastic writer. She can wrap words around subleties that elude other writers. But she was fooled by Obama, which means her judgement isn’t trustworthy. So I suppose her perspective here may interesting but it goes no further than that.
Try googling the article using the title as a keyword. The article will come up in the results and you’ll be able to click on it and read the whole thing. I don’t know why it works like that but it does.
I read that somewhere else too but I tried it and it doesn’t work for me. The article is still blocked.
It was linked at Drudge.
Nobody pay-walls Drudge:)
It's still there.
Doesn’t work for me. For some reason his link is going to Google UK. But when I click on it, it bounces me right back to the WSJ site’s blocked screen.
You just have to be persistent.

This is one of the most encouraging columns I have read in a long, long time. I’ve plastered all over the Net somewhat reluctantly as pieces like this often have a tendency to cause folks to believe that THEY are no longer required in the battle because, to borrow an aviation phrase related to autopilots, a “Let George do it” attitude sets in as it becomes known that there others who can carry YOUR load. PLEASE DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU! If you are as angry as I am (PISSED is more accurate) about where these alleged “progressive” elitist imbeciles have driven this country, STAY IN THE FIGHT. In fact, don’t just keep doing what you have been doing — REDOUBLE THOSE EFFORTS. We can’t afford to just defeat these people; we must drive them so deep underground that it will take a century or more for them to dig out and again cause these same problems for future generations! That would be YOUR grand kids and following.
As usual, Peggy provides much insight and food for thought. If your time is limited, just read the last 6 or 7 paragraphs.
