I asked at the grocery store if they had a non welfare check out line. They said no, but I think they should! Why should I be stuck behind them? They pay with a few different welfare programs. This one covers this, this one covers that. Why should I have to pay for their illegal selves and stand in extra lines??
I agree with you, but we can’t have these people being stigmatized now, can we?
That’s the whole reason they went to EBT cards that look and work like credit cards. The actual ‘stamps’ were stigmatizing them. Poor babies.
Actually that used to be the case. There WAS shame in using this for payment most in any place. Decent people feeling shame at having to live off others.
It isn’t like that now - hardly at all. They (the users) are “entitled” and downright brazen in some cases. They don’t care - we OWE this to them.
