This is not my blog so I'm not pimping. However since it comes from a blogpost on redstate, I posted the whole thing so that reticent Freepers don't have to give the blog traffic.

Yawn. Another day, another redstate hit piece on Trump. BTW, don’t bother trying to leave a comment there that they don’t like: it’ll be nuked within minutes. Guess it’s really just a pure propaganda site after all.

I won’t even click on them for any reason anymore; don’t want to help their page hit count.

As per Trump’s own quote, he was not for the implementation of Obamacare, and progressive taxation has been around for about one hundred years, and this writer tries to pen it on Trump and Obama?

Actually, I did go to the link. I wanted to hear some CONTEXT regarding the things he’s said in the past. Hopefully with links back to transcripts or videos. The link did ok, but some of its links went to recent summaries of Trump’s past statements, and DID NOT provide links. So I couldn’t hear/read everything in context.

What I found was a guy that looked at things in a different perspective than most people.

For example, he was dealing with banks simply shutting off lending in 2008, grinding his work to a halt...so yea, he wanted to get banks lending again. For Social Security and Medicare, he talks only about “people that have been paying in their entire working careers” (or something worded very close to that)...he’s against cutting that. Every conservative that I know of feels the same, or close enough. No one pressed him on younger people. And he says that we can fix SS by growing the economy, hence taking in more revenue. While not technically fixing SS, it would free up tremendous revenue for the government.

The car bailouts...no link to his direct words, so I don’t know the context. A flat tax - he’s simply stating reality - we’ll never get a totally flat tax, but he does support making it much flatter.

His only praise for Obama was in Jan, 2009 (the stimulus), when Obama had 75% of Republicans SUPPORTING HIM. His praise was based on Obama’s words...spend money on infrastructure. Not being an ideologue like Rush, myself, and most people here - Trump didn’t realize that the ‘stimulus’ was a scam. He did 6 months later when he said he hadn’t seen a damn thing come out of it.

On Single Pay. He talks to people, probably only healthy people, in those countries (especially Scotland), and I suspect, to a man, they all say they like it. Walk into a clinic, any clinic, present a card - get great Primary Care. It takes some research to figure out it’s a disaster at the back end, since the media won’t report it. Most people don’t do that research...likely including Trump. But he says three other things - first, there has to be some way to assure people needing medical care get medical care, that Obamacare does not come close to that and has ruined existing health care plans, and that Single Payer cannot work here, because of everything else screwed up in this country...so he’s not too far off, overall.

So call me a Trump apologist if you want, but EVERYONE is spinning stuff and not providing context - go read the transcripts and watch the interview, and ask whether Trump is flaming liberal or not.

I see no support for ObamaCare, just support for the idea of everyone having health coverage.

I see an emphasis on bankers being the cause of the financial collapse under Bush rather than legislators. We must ask ourselves if we really mean it when we say that ‘big money’ owns our legislators. If so, then Dodd/Frank originated with the bankers. Why would THEY want such a system that would collapse and then cede huge power to a central government and central bank?

I can’t imagine. /sarc

How does this all work?

THe GOPe,Fox News and Univision, with Trump’s blessings, figured out if they attack Trump relentlessly the anti-establishment folks will support him?

So, Trump is really a slealth establishmentarian saying whatever will appeal to the anti-establishmentarians in order to get ellected? With the blessing from the Gope and RINO inc?

Do Trump they all meet up somewhere for drinks and couple laughs? Megyn says, “Donald, calling me a Bimbo was genius!”

Throw in his misunderstanding of the economic effects of immigration and free trade, and the current GOP front-runner is one confused man when it comes to the economy.

This shows me the author of this piece is another anti-American, globalist, traitor...Every one understands effects of immigration and unfair trade on the economy...

Some approve of the destruction of the middle class while people such as Trump and I oppose it...It's that simple...

“Every Republican wants to do a big number on Social Security, they want to do it on Medicare, they want to do it on Medicaid. And we can’t do that. And it’s not fair to the people that have been paying in for years and now all of the sudden they want to be cut.”

This is not even debatable...They ought to shoot any one who works to cut Social Security benefits...

TRUMP: Well, I think it’s noble, except I just don’t know how a country that’s in such debt — we are really a debtor nation right now, and I just don’t know how a country in this kind of trouble can afford it. It’s very — I love the idea, but can this country afford it? Will it destroy the country? Will it destroy other people that have been paying into health care for years? I mean, will that destroy other people? It’s a very, very tough situation. I love it from many standpoints, but can this country afford it? And maybe this isn’t the right time.

It is noble to want to take care of everyone...Trump knows it can't be done...I agree with Trump...

“Now, I did not know about a $700 billion bailout, in all fairness. And I think probably, it is something — it’s sad, but, probably, it’s something that has to get done, because your financial system is most likely going to come to a halt if it does not. So, it is a pretty sad day for this country.”

This in no way endorses Obama...Quite a hit piece you got going here...

If the GOPe is behind Bush? and Fox is behind the GOPe? then where does that leave Trump? Is he the GOPe’s real choice? Maybe he is a Hillary plant? Or he is KGB? or maybe he really is a rouge candidate who doesn’t fit the uni-party mold?
That would explain why everyone, from the imaginary “both sides of the isle”, is doggy piling on him?
Because there is no “both side” but Globalist pushing Globalism?
They have to let Trump run but that doesn’t mean they won’t do anything and everything to destroy him. Since, he appears to not be destroying himself, but on the contrary, his poll numbers are growing?
Or, like i said Trump is a stealth establishmentarian and he has been their choice all along?
Cruz, Sessions, Palin are all being played? Or, maybe they are in on it,too?

To blame Bush for a meltdown that was decades in the making is about par for the course for the deep thinking Trump..Its also clear he can love you one moment then stab you in the back the next ...works great when your power comes from your money and you have plenty of it, but its not going to help him persuade co equal branches of government to do what he wants

Bu that was BEFORE an apple fell out of a tree and hit him in the head and turned him into “true conservative hero”.

I mean it’s not like he’s a leftist who’s STILL showing signs of being a leftist by proposing tax hikes on the rich or anything.........
