“Who do you support for President?” I asked my mom and her husband, both lifelong Democrats who live on the East Coast. “Donald Trump” was their answer. “Really?” I replied, almost dropping my “Make America Great Again” hat.
Actually, I don’t own a “Make America Great Again” hat, but I was flabbergasted by their answer, partly because they tossed it out in a casual and gutsy way as if they did not fear repercussions. Weren’t they worried about being called “racist,” “sexist,” “insane,” “stupid,” or (even worse) “Republican”? It was as if they had turned into mini-Trumps themselves: audacious, loud and proud. They were a mere shell of their former selves, blubbering about hope, making America strong, and ending illegal immigration.
I did not argue with Mom and her hubby because, well, I have a confession. I have been a closet Trump supporter for the past two months. Okay. I’ve said it. Additionally, I know other folks hiding in the shadows here in liberal Los Angeles who tiptoe around social media, careful to distance themselves from the “T word” (Trump). We can relate to Ashley Madison users because we, too, fear being “outed.”

Any time I hear that someone is afraid to say what they think it reminds me exactly how far the Prog/Lib/Democommie PC speech nazis have come and the damage they have done to our society.

Great find, delta. I suspect lots of closet Trump supporters are out there. This little revelation may ding him with a few of the Republican purists, but probably the gains will make up for the losses.
I like the part where she says Trump doesn’t speak in fractions, just grab the gist of the whole and you’re in business, without hanging on his every word like the George Will types will want to parse and obsess over.

I think it needs lots of razor wire along the top of it. I know that sounds hard and cruel, but it’s the only way to stop the freeloaders crashing the border.

Go into any Mexico border town. You will see homes of the well to do with high concrete block walls around them that are topped with razor wire and/or broken glass bottles set into concrete on the top. They know how to make a wall.
