UT Knoxville encourages students to use gender-neutral pronouns

The University of Tennessee is asking students to use ze, hir, hirs, and xe, xem, xyr.
No, those words are not another language. Theyre actually the gender-neutral singular versions of pronouns.
The University of Tennessee Office for Diversity and Inclusion is asking students and faculty to use the pronouns in order to create a more inclusive campus. They say it alleviates a heavy burden for people expressing different genders or identities.
We should not assume someones gender by their appearance, nor by what is listed on a roster or in student information systems, Donna Braquet, the Director of the University of Tennessees Pride Center said. Transgender people and people who do not identify within the gender binary may use a different name than their legal name and pronouns of their gender identity, rather than the pronouns of the sex they were assigned at birth.

If I see this in writing, I’m gonna stop reading it, whatever it is.
If some one speaks to me using these made-up words, I will stop listening.
I refuse to use their made-up words. Nope. Not doing it.

Using “gender neutral” pronouns does not make humans gender neutral, as they wish.

This is Tennessee taxpayer-subsidized, right?

So the golden oldies need to be renamed, “Ze’s So Fine”, Ze Loves You”, “Ze’s a Fool”, “Ze’s a rebel”. What would Sinatra’s “Luck be a LADY tonight” be renamed? Does the classic Temptations hit “My Girl” evoke perceptions of male heterocentric dominance? Is Aerosmith’s “Dude looks like a Lady” transphobic? The politically correct NOT SEES must be loads of laughs at parties.

I think I will stick with calling men “he”, women “she”, and people who don’t know which sex they are “pervert”.
What’s next? Will we need to refrain from calling people human because they identify as some other species?

Wait! You said “boycott”. That is a microagression toward me. I am a woman, so I think the word should be “girlcott”.

Wait! You said boycott. That is a microagression toward me. I am a woman, so I think the word should be girlcott. You may be on to something! How did women, or those of "alternative genders" feel when Sony released those Game BOYS? Would they feel comfortable dining at a Bob's Big BOY? Or Burger KING? And what do we do with the old car nuts who own these beautiful behemoths:
The Buick Road
MASTER. Sounds kinda racist as well as paternal-heterosexist.

I’m stuck with Marsha Blackburn here in the 6th. She’s turned into a go-along to get-along type. Does anything Boehner wants.

Perhaps you are already aware of this. I wish I was making it up.
There is a trend now in listing real estate to refer to the master bedroom as the “owner’s bedroom”. The word “master” is, apparently, offensive!

I think my father had Buick Roadmaster. It was not white and not a convertible, however. Would have been around 1955, I think. His was blue. I remember that it had “dynaflo” —if I remember the word correctly —whatever that is. I’m a woman, and not a car person. (But I can appreciate the beauty of the car in the picture that you posted.)

Yes, Dynaflow, it was Buick’s first auto transmission, a reliable unit, but Buicks equipped with this transmission were gas hogs, they only got 12-13 mpg.

Oh, yeah, it's been that way in real estate for quite some time now. What's surprising though, is listings for homes in Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods like Williamsburg in Brooklyn, or Monsey, Monroe or by the old bungalow colonies in the Catskills, they're allowed to put in phrases like "walk to Temple", as long as they'res no specific mention that the listing is in a Jewish neighborhood.

This is the dumbing down of the language. Until very recently gender was never used to refer to maleness or femaleness of a human being. My sex is male. The word male has a masculine gender.
Further evidence of the dumbing down is that you think the word sex is a verb. It is not. You do not sex. You have sexual intercourse.
Referring to new edition of a dictionary only proves my point.
