“The horrors of a Trump presidency should not be lost on anyone..”

But sadly enough here on FR, there are a lot of people who aren’t getting the joke.

They love the bombast, the arm-waving and the red-meat attacks but by large, many of them have no real idea what Trump stands for or let me rephrase that, what he currently “stands” for.

So you believe Trump supporters here on FR are low information voters?

Are you from the RNC?

The problem is that Trump supporters know what all the other candidates stand for.

Well....Those of us that aren't getting the "Joke" know that most of the other main Republican candidates could easily fit running as Democrats.

The real "Joke" in this election are the candidates who repackage "more of the same" and call themselves Conservatives.

Well I know what Jeb stands for, and given the choice, I’ll take my chances with Trump.

True.. or accurately.. what he SAYS he stands for...
Trump is untested, unproven and unconfirmed... “as WHAT?”

As a Conservative or even a republican.. could be, OR NOT..

When a Tested, Proven, Confirmed conservative republican is running as well... the REAL Deal..
Proven by what he and Mike Lee do daily in the Senate.. AND OTHER PLACES..

the one getting most of the campaign contributions.. TED CRUZ..
Mike Lee the BEST option for VeeP of anybody...

Don't care.

I used to be a Walker supporter. I don't want a Hillary administration, and neither Cruz nor Walker have been catching fire with the electorate. Say anything you want about him, Trump inspires passion. I would rather go with a moderately conservative guy who looks like he might win, than a solidly conservative guy who is unable to inspire enough people to show up for him.

Show me a Cruz rally which mostly fills up a stadium and gets millions of viewers on TV, and I may change my opinion.

Well, two years ago a bunch of Republicans running for office TOLD me they were conservatives, that they would fight and repeal Obamacare, investigate Benghazi, IRS political activity, Fast and Furious, and the scandalous VA.

They spouted this constantly, saying as soon as they had the SENATE, along with the House, all these things plus MUCH, MUCH more would be done.

Last year they asked me to help, and I made phone calls and wrote people for them in September and October of 2014, working my tail off. I gave a lot of money to them, too.

WHAT did I get, Steve???

So maybe Trump is a liar, too... Or maybe he’s just a liberal who has seen the light, and is going to do something about it. Maybe not.

But I will tell you this...

I WILL NEVER, EVER vote for ANYONE who is a Republican and asks me to trust them again. I want to see them do something—anything expect oppose Trump because he’s not “one of them”. When they earn back my trust maybe I’ll reconsider. But—I’m not going to just take a RINOs/GOPe’s word again. Since they back stabbed me and millions of others who supported them, I don’t trust ‘em, and since they’re so against Trump that makes me MORE for Trump.

Trump stands for building a wall, Steve.

A wall.

We know what Trump stands for he is very up front and loud about it and that is why we support him over the GOPe candidates who carry the cheap labor express water to the suckers who keep voting for them.

Build the wall, deport all illegals, brings jobs back to America for Americans, cut taxes and govt regulation, crush ISIS, do right by our vets. That is about half the list of policies Trump is being very clear on for his time as President. Plus we have a actual way to crush the GOPe corruption via Trump!!!

No, it’s not that we love the bombast and the red meat. It’s that we were looking at a sorry charade again in the presidential election. Unlike you purists voting in echo chambers not connected to actual political reality, we saw a tiny chance to avoid the predictable kabuki of a GOPer to “coalesce behind” who will lose to the Democrat. TRUMP ISN’T PERFECT but he’s better than a GOPer or a Dem. And you have to admit that. We had nothing to lose by liking Trump.

Best of all, unlike either the a GOPer or the Dem, Trump takes on and slays the Beast that Rules us, the Media.

Just like Romney? We were supposed to fall in line and vote for that liberal weather vane, excuse me, severe conservative. That was okay, right? Because Romney had the stamp of approval from the GOPe?

Who’d have thought conservatives would abandon one half-baked choice (Dr. Carson) only to enthusiastically tout a flim-flam artist who says whatever he thinks people want to hear.

I remember when people seriously looked at a candidate’s actions to figure out if they could be trusted. Now it’s like “Hey, he says bad things about the people we hate, so let’s support him for President!!!”

Trump does show how mad the base is about everything. But he is a completely illogical choice for a group that purportedly believes in conservative principles and decries the crony capitalism and government control that has crippled our economy and sucked our liberty dry.
