Who’d have thought conservatives would abandon one half-baked choice (Dr. Carson) only to enthusiastically tout a flim-flam artist who says whatever he thinks people want to hear.
I remember when people seriously looked at a candidate’s actions to figure out if they could be trusted. Now it’s like “Hey, he says bad things about the people we hate, so let’s support him for President!!!”
Trump does show how mad the base is about everything. But he is a completely illogical choice for a group that purportedly believes in conservative principles and decries the crony capitalism and government control that has crippled our economy and sucked our liberty dry.
Right now we believe in just trying to survive. The Permanent Political Class has thrown our borders wide open and rolled out the welcome mat. A country without borders isn’t even a country. Not to mention the incalculable toll taken as the invaders rape, rob, murder, child molest, grift and drain the economy dry. We’re already far along in our death spiral. Trump articulated this out of the gate and proposes to start by building a wall.
What is your candidate’s most articulate summation of our lost sovereignty, and his proposal to bring us back from the brink?
An excellent post.
The whole Trump campaign has the same bad smell that Jesse Ventura’s candidacy for Governor did back in 1998.
I was there. I remember it well. It solidified Minnesota’s ranks as a tstate full of rubes.
Donald Trump is Jesse Ventura on a national scale - lots of posturing, lots of hot air and very little substance.
