After watching every ballistic gel test I could find, I opted for Federal LE #1 buck with flight control wad in the tube magazine.
My side saddle holds those and a few rounds of Federal LE Truball rifled slugs.

Mounted up front is a Streamlight TLR-2 HL G light and laser.

It is one mean machine.

Federal Flight Control buckshot is an extremely impressive load.

In my tests it put all of the buck in an 14” circle at 25 yards!

You could count on getting hits to 50 yards, easy.

It is that load that I bought a case of to give 10 rounds to neighbors at Christmas time.

Those flight control wads are amazing. Is it Hornady that has some round that groups pretty tight as well? Might as well have one big hole in a perp. That way the coroners don’t have to count all the pellet hits.

If you haven’t done so, play around with wax-filled rounds using smaller shot. Dump the shot, mix with melted paraffin and refill. Leave a little shot out to compensate for the weight gain.
