S. Carolina GOP Gives Trump Ultimatum-Pledge Allegiance to Rep. Nominee or You're Off Primary Ballot
It says no such thing...
What one INTENDS to do and what one eventually does are two different things. If he intends to be the nominee, then he certainly intends to support the nominee. If some knucklehead gets the nomination, he could change his mind. He can say he "intended" to support the nominee, but then they nominated a knucklehead.
This is a setup. The media is going to go to General Quarters when he signs this. But this "pledge", to me, seems meaningless and without teeth.
I said in a thread yesterday: I INTEND to be nice to my dog and kids when I go home tonight.

I would remind the party of it’s 2008 nominee, and explain that there are times when it’s impossible to support an enemy to our cause.

The “platform” doesn’t exist until it is written, read, and voted on at the Convention in July of 2016.
No one can pledge to support a nonexistent document.

You’re off on that. You’re reading only half.
It says ***believe in*** the nominees and platform, as well as ***intend to support*** the nominees and platform.
To believe in and intend to support an unknown entity is foolish and may be actionable in federal court.
This SC GOP foolishness telegraphs one thing clearly, the machine in SC is corrupt.
