Former WDBJ employee Vester Lee Flanagan has been identified by multiple news outlets as the man responsible for the deaths of 24-year-old reporter Alison Parker and 27-year-old Adam Ward.
Flanagan who, according to one report by WTVR used the on air name of Bryce Williams, was fired from the TV station two years ago.
On Wednesday, a Twitter account linked to a man named Bryce Williams posted first person video of the shooting online.
Within minutes, Twitter took down the account.
According to his LinkedIn, Williams worked at WDBJ from March 2012- February 2013.
Been telling my kids this for some time: Just because technology progresses doesnt mean society does as well.
“Allegedly.”
He filmed it, confessed, posted it.
Thank goodness he’s dead, so we don’t have to read “allegedly” too much longer.
That he did. I saw them both on his feed. Sicko that he is/was, depending on if he’s still clinging to life, or finally assumed room temperature.
Just watched the video. He stood there pointing the gun at these folks and they didn’t notice till he fired.
One sick puppy right there.
The 56 second long video taken by the gunman can be viewed here:

Daily Mail is reporting he is in very critical condition after attempting suicide, but he ain’t dead yet.
My God! That’s probably the most brazen act that I’ve seen. He filmed himself shooting them and then posted it. They had no idea what was happening until it was too late. I pray for their souls and for comfort to their loved ones!
He’s not dead yet, just critical condition.
Sad ping.
Ok, so the latest news is that he was pronounced dead at 1:26 pm.
Ghastly thought, but I half-wonder if Flanagan took some inspiration from the well-known scene from True Blood where Russell Edgington kills an anchorman during a live news broadcast.
He had just shot two people.
He was on the lam. Being chased by police. When they stopped him, he shot himself.
He was arrested and taken to the hospital, under guard.
How did he get on TWITTER ?
Very easy to post to twitter using a smartphone from anywhere.
I don't find that using that miniature keypad to be 'easy'. Especially while driving. Wasn't this guy 'on the run' ?
