There are obvious problems with giving people free money.

Well you wouldn’t expect them to have to actually do anything for it would you? Lol
um... not sure if i understand you
put half of them to work running day care centers, so the other half can work
Anyhow, my last job was with a marketing company and we did the collateral for the PhD guy who wrote a book and traveled the country speaking about the topic of the book--How to manage Millenials in the Workplace--or something very similar.
Usually when you work with this stuff, you look at it visually and you don't focus on the content too much. One day for whatever reason, I started reading his little hand book he passed out. The jist of it was, don't expect millennials to put in the hours, don't expect them to work hard, dont expect them to show up everyday but hey these are the GREAT qualities they do have (I forget what those were, nothing tangible that was for sure)...It was bizarro world.
Sounds reasonable except when you consider they will have to be government funded day care centers because people with no work experience get the lowest paying jobs.
fine by me
i think the welfare roles would be cut in half immediately if we required them to work

No work, no check.
Right there's part of the problem; quitting should disqualify them from welfare.
Same thing, really.
“1. Once per month, getting up from the couch, and an arduous round trip hike to the mailbox, and occasional trips to the bank.”
“Thats not true anymore. All benefits are loaded on an EBT card. Cash and food stamps.”
Pretty neat how that works. That EBT card is as good as cash now. Can buy ANYTHING that cash can buy.
“I was going to come back and add to that. She didn’t technically quit. She got herself fired. She kept taking time off to go to family court, coming in late, etc.
Same thing, really.”
Not at all! If she got fired she can collect unemployment I think. Whereas if she quit, no unemployment. But I’m not positive about all that.
Right but anyone can get themselves fired. Especially if they are motivated to get fired because their intent is to get back on the dole.
