I have always had a suspicion that what Rush is describing as his auto-immune system attacking himwas caused by his drug addiction, which started with pain relievers for a back injury.

I could definitely support that. I'd also like a Carson/Jindal ticket. I think Bobby's the best of the governors running; unfortunately he got in too late (IMO) and hasn't been able to get any traction.

Whatever caused it, his inability to hear the tone and inflections in his voice have radically changed the way he sounds.
Over the last few years his voice has gotten more monotone, acquired a gravelly sound and he shouts way more than he used to.
I have heard audio of what a cochlear implant sounds like and although it is a miracle of science it sounds like a machine speaking and the wearer is unable to distinguish tones. Rush has often said that the only music he can “hear” are songs that he knew before he lost his hearing because his memory reconstructs the melody for him. On newer music he can only sense the rhythm.
NAALCP are in emergency session, planning riots, looting and mayhem over that.

When I listen to him explain his hearing loss, it reminds me of his mortality. The thought of waking up one day, looking forward to his program and never hearing his voice ever again...it is overwhelming.
During the Clinton regime and Obama nightmare, there were days that I got inspiration to not give up on this nation, because I heard Rush. Sure, he has flaws, but we all do. I accept him with his flaws, and if there are two friends I have never met, but trust, they are Rush and Mark.
