A gunman killed a reporter and videographer for a CBS affiliate in Virginia in a shooting that was broadcast live Wednesday morning.
Alison Parker and Adam Ward, a reporter and cameraman for CBS Roanoke affiliate WDBJ-TV, died in the shooting, Parker's mother confirmed to CBS News.
WDBJ-TV reports that deputies from Franklin County and Bedford County were on the scene.
The shooting happened at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia.

I heard on Fox News that the killer said “He loved Savannah. He fell in love in Savannah.” Savannah might have the highest percentage of homosexuals in the South. Don’t know if it means anything or not.

Not quite unheard of, there is a term for it that goes back a few decades. Ever hear of "going postal"? That originates with postal employees showing up at work and perpetrating gunfire violence.
Better he died or this thing will be running the news networks for the next two or more years...which is what the guy wanted from the get go.

Amongst other things camera angles can fool you on perceived sizes of objects. An example is the piece of wing they found from the downed 777 off the coast of Africa. One photo looks like the piece is 4 feet long, another photo angle makes it looks like it is 8 feet long. Both myself and my father were watching the news when that was found and were scratching our heads thinking they had found two different pieces.
