Given how often conservatives have been attacked by people who have been posing as conservatives for decades, is it not reasonable to be worried over someone whose conservatism supposedly took root in the last couple of years?

I can understand a teen being fooled by Obama. I cannot understand how someone Trump’s age could have expected Obama to be a great President in 2009 - just 6 years ago! I’ve been burned by people who had a good track record in the House, and who ran as “Tea Party” conservatives - think Jeff McFlake, the slimeball from my home state of Arizona.

How am I supposed to trust someone whose conservative views started just a few years ago, and with ZERO track record?

Your choices is to (1) trust a GOP that has consistently lied, misrepresented, and betrayed, AND said they are true conservatives, or (2) gamble on a man with the resources to beat both the GOP-E and the democrats, who says he's a conservative convert, and who appears to be forming a coalition with your favorite candidate, Ted Cruz, who does NOT have the firepower to overcome the GOP-E/media coalition.

I'm taking the gamble.
