How am I supposed to trust someone whose conservative views started just a few years ago, and with ZERO track record?

Your choices is to (1) trust a GOP that has consistently lied, misrepresented, and betrayed, AND said they are true conservatives, or (2) gamble on a man with the resources to beat both the GOP-E and the democrats, who says he's a conservative convert, and who appears to be forming a coalition with your favorite candidate, Ted Cruz, who does NOT have the firepower to overcome the GOP-E/media coalition.

I'm taking the gamble.

I agree. I am coming to the opinion that this gamble is the only choice we have other than outright surrender.

That and pray really hard and trust in the Lord’s promises of salvation, since Jesus is the one who wins in the end.

I'm taking the gamble.

At least you are being honest about the fact that it is a gamble. So you might encourage your fellow Trump supporters to treat those who do not support him with due respect, lest you lose them as potential supporters in the general election should Trump get the nomination.

It is possible to look at Trump's history and decide that the gamble is not worth the risk WITHOUT being in support of Bush, Hillary, the "establishment" or the other things that people leery of Trump are accused of being.

The name calling and attacks by many on this forum that I keep seeing against anyone who does not support Trump bother me much more than anything else. It reminds me too much of the liberal tactic of shouting down anyone who disagrees with you. I expect conservatives to be able to explain their views and positions, to engage in a dialogue and persuade, rather than browbeat, belittle and berate those with differing opinions.
