"What is ailing the Roger?"

What is ailing Ailes has nothing to do with Megyn. What ails him is that both he and the Donald are alpha males thrown together by circumstances into butting their heads together and locking horns in tentative death fights.

Bill O'Reilly, who has no use for Trump, is another alpha male who can be thrown into this mix.

Ailes is CEO of a rich and powerful world-wide media outlet. O'Reilly has no peers in ratings and viewership in his time slot. Trump is tops in his business field and is a billionaire.

When the brash Trump appears almost out of nowhere to achieve the pre-eminent position in American politics today and the three are mixed together due to the necessities of having to have contact with each other, and, indeed, to depend on each other in business relationships of a sort for the foreseeable future, the sparks are sure to fly as one battles for top position over the other.

It's almost a primal thing.

Trump didn't ask for this because he's not threatened by the others. But Ailes', O'Reilly's and the Fox corporation's bottom-lines and wallets ARE threatened by upstart Trump...we already see it happening to them personally in their once un-threatened, un-challenged, relatively peaceful, high-ratings, insulated world.

I'm betting on Donald in this battle of the bull mooses...and I'm also betting that Trump will have the most antlers over his fireplace mantle when the battles of alpha males are over with.

Ailes and O'Reilly will have scars.

Ailes and O'Reilly have gambled from the beginning that they could paw the ground and snort and stare Trump down. But their bravado isn't working.....because Trump is a very long-time and successful alpha male, himself!

I presume that pic of Kelly on the cover of GQ is valid - and I am not really surprised. And whoever said that Kelly does not ask questions so much as she makes speeches [or harrangues] is spot on correct. She gives a guest a few minutes of her air time and then spends half of it posing her questions. I first started getting irritated at that 'journalist' ploy with David Gregory in GW's WH press corps: for two minutes he would say such as, 'Now that the whole country can see that you are a lying piece of filth that is just stealing from the public treasury... blah, blah, blah... what do you have to say about traffic in Washington...?' Why didn't 'W' have him expelled from the WH press corps?

I mentioned here on FR about a year ago that I no longer watch FNC except Special Report - and I keep a jaundiced eye focused on that.

The media is complicit in the overthrow of the Constitution and decency!

I see a very simple solution: Trump just ignore FAUX totally, go to the other networks as he did the week-end following the fiasco debate that Thursday evening. He will get his agenda out OK. Roger Ailes will come crawling back like he did the following Monday. The two other moderators need also to be admonished as well as BOR!!!
