Ted Cruz was asked tonight the same question BillO asked Trump last night, if he would deport two illegal parents who have children that are American Citizens. But Cruz refused to answer it the way Megyn Kelly wanted him to. She accused him of dodging the question, but Cruz responded that the question that she and other mainstream media journalists want to ask is a distraction from actually fixing the problem of illegal immigration and then explained how to fix it.
It was awesome.
Watch:
Anyone can spin one scenario after another,
****************
CHECKMATE!
That’s why Cruz doesn’t answer the gotcha question.
Thanks for playing.
Hey, clown, you're the one spinning silly scenarios and ignoring the basic circumstance of illegals.
I gave you an actual example of a mother being deported and her anchor baby remaining in the US, all part of the legal process you claim can't be done.
You lose, and have made yourself look silly and ignorant. You are the sort of poster that wastes everyone's time with your ignorance and pigheadedness.
I was not aware of a change in Ted Cruz’s position on BC...
We can’t “unring” the bell, but being men, it’s possible to reconsider our positions and change our views...
I suspect Ted may have seen the light and changed his position...I give him credit for that...
Yeah, I didn’t think you’d have the courage to say the family was staying.
When the judicial problems get worked out all of them will self deport, just like they did in AZ until the judges stuck their noses into it.
This is why it has to be Cruz; Trump would never be able to see that through. All he can do is talk.
Keep on making a fool of yourself for your boy friend.
“Keep on making a fool of yourself for your boy friend.”
Apparently you are a Cruz guy.
Do you think Cruz himself is as mean spirited as you are?
.
Do you think Trump is as big of a Troll as you are?
.
I watched both answers (Trump’s is here: http://m.therightscoop.com/billo-will-you-deport-a-family-with-illegal-parents-and-american-citizen-kids-trump-si-senor/ ) and while I give Cruz more points for style, more for technical proficiency, more for skilled political craftsmanship in general, (he truly gave the “thinking man’s reply) Trump simply answers the question directly.
The ultimate question is: who will resonate more with the average voter, the voter who does t want to think too much about issues but just wants to be told quick, “no-nonsense” answers? Clearly Trump will resonate in this regard. All of this is fine and good though, make no mistake. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being so simplistic, IF the one making such simplistic promises can be trusted.
That’s the rub right there. CAN Trump be trusted to keep to his word that on “day one” he will “deport them so fast it’ll make your head spin”? It’s a question everyone needs to ask and answer for themselves. Speaking for myself though, I simply haven’t reached that level of trust with Trump. He comes across, to me, as too much of a showman. A flim-flam man with a bait-and-switch waiting in the wings. A used car salesman with a bad hair day.
Sorry, that’s just where I am with him. But I can’t deny his populist appeal. There’s little doubt in my mind unless he says or does something so horrific even he can’t bounce back, (which I still think he will) he’s cruising to the nomination.
If he does get it, I just pray my character assessment is wrong. For the good of us all.
Enjoy though, Trump lovers. There’s very little that can be said to discredit him now (since no one seems to care about his Kelo opinion). So enjoy, this race is really his to lose right now. His only enemy is himself.
Didn’t stop Clinton and Janet Reno from seizing Elian and shipping him back to CUBA.
If I was advising Cruz or Trump I would pull that picture out every time some lame-o journalist ask him that same question or hang a giant poster at every event with a caption “If Clinton could do it why can’t I”
Trump is no more a troll than I am.
Way back in June, I was one of the first, if not THE first, Freeper to repeatedly promote the idea of Cruz as Trumps VP.
I have reason to watch what Cruz is doing and saying as I still think that of all the higher profile politicians, Cruz is best suited for the position.
.
>> “Way back in June, I was one of the first, if not THE first, Freeper to repeatedly promote the idea of Cruz as Trumps VP.” <<
Which is about the stupidest comment that one could possibly make.
Cruz is the only candidate qualified to be president in this bunch, and Trump is barely qualified to be a waiter at one of his dinners. (since he does have a Tux, and he is likely good at balloon sculpture)
But its about what one might expect from your kooky keyboard.
I constantly hear politicians state how family oriented they are, therefore most won’t be left behind. Those that are will likely have arrangements made for them to stay with legal family.
Remember, many of their fathers already leave the family, so splitting the families up may not be that big of a deal.
As far as the electorate is concerned, most will probably be opposed to that position because they are easily manipulated by emotion. Face it, the American presidential electorate is stupid and easily manipulated.
BTW, I’m no fan of the rino Trump. I support Cruz.
Are you saying Cruz would be stupid to be Trumps VP?
Nobody will be Trump’s VP.
He hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell of getting elected.
His support is exactly the same as Perot’s was; how’d that work out?
.
Well, if Cruz is not conservative enough, you may run out of options soon as you search for the unattainable...the perfect politician.
Frankly this birthright debate is a tough one because no one was pushing loudly for this until recently. Now it's suddenly a litmus test. I generally agree the 14th does not guarantee citizenship if born here. It's being bastardized from it's original intent. That said, I am not going to throw out everyone who does not make it a central plank in their election strategy. Cruz is not going to do a massive amnesty. He likely would be willing to get 4/5s of a loaf if an otherwise good bill includes some things we don't like. That's fine with me.
