Maybe because Trump's position on any issue can change from day to day, because he doesn't demonstrate an understanding of the Constitution, and because there are better candidates.
I'd just say that given the realities of politics, at some point there are some concessions that will need to be made for any political figure and they will find they need to work through at least part of the system to get things done.
This will be particularly true for Trump if he wins. He'll need excellent council on how to navigate through the den of snakes that is congress.
And hopefully, every single "DC Advisor" will be escorted over the border...lol!
True, but while he was thinking of his favorite figure/sotry, he could have said, "well, on the one hand you have David... On the other you have Stephen... But my personal favorite is... because..."
That way he could demonstrate his knowledge of the Bible, even if people disagreed with his off-the-cuff selection.
I don't see how his response can be anything other than an evasion, especially when you combine it with his "I don't need forgiveness" comment.
