Trump's presser before the rally today in IA. Check out about 2:45 in where he tells the Univision reporter to sit down :) The guy was later let back in and Trump allowed him to ask several questions. I thought he did well. Lots of questions about Fox and Megyn Kelly.

Yeah it’s REAL clear:

Here’s what Trump said about unrestricted illegal immigration in 2011:

http://rare.us/story/donald-trump-in-2012-mitt-romneys-immigration-policy-is-mean-spirited-maniacal/

Trum was to the left of John McCain on Illegal Immigration but now he’s to the right of Tom Tancredo and nobody bothers to ask why? All the factors present now were present in 2011 and before. What changed?

Here’s how Trump told (criticized) Scott Walker how to handle the debt in Wisconsin, by raising taxes.

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2015/08/trump-not-a-conservative-on-taxes.php

Trump think the idea to lower the debt is to raise taxes. We’ve already seen that with some of his statements on increasing Capital Gains taxes.

But hey, don’t let facts or contradictions get in the way of your idol worship.

Well, from today’s poll, it’s clear that his Town Hall in NH last week was an unmitigated success.

Keep fighting the good fight.

There's some seriously irrational stuff going on nowadays.

It reminds me of the pundits who claimed that Clinton could have sex with and then kill a child on the WH lawn and his supporters would still rally behind him. Same phenomenon with Trump. A person studying group psychology could have a field day with this bunch.

Trump is better on Immigration, the most important issue of this election. Cruz falls short and thus can't be allowed the top part of the ticket

I have decided today that Cruz is a phoney.

I was just on another thread where it discussed that on Kelly's show tonight Cruz was asked directly if he would deport a child born of two illegal parents. He refused to answer.

I did not see the interview but if true it is astounding.

If Cruz cannot see that illegal immigration poses an existential threat to our Republic then he deserves nothing but our contempt.

All the Freepers that want Cruz should try their best to contact Cruz's people and tell them he is making a fatal mistake on this issue.

I was 100% for Cruz, now I will look at him as just another pathetic, weak-willed panderer.

For all his brilliance at debating when it comes to standing for Liberty he is contemptibly weak.

I just saw Cruz on Kelly File and for the first time was quite disappointed.

I didn't see it but read about it on another thread.

I now consider Cruz a pathetic panderer and a weak, weak Conservative.

Cruz weak responses shows that he doesn't have the iron will to truly do what is right to save our Republic.

Cruz is a weak man. He would never raise a sword in defense of our Republic. He probably thinks we can debate our way to Liberty.

I didn't see it yet,so I'll reserve my opinion! Cruz best bet as I've said before,he'll ride on tide of TRUMP! He's only going up in the polls as is ,Carson because of Trump! All is good so far in the getting conservatives on board! Look at it this way, Jeb and Rubio and all others are down or nonexistence!

The thing that bothers me is that the true conservatives , or ones I THOUGHT were conservative here, are now willing to vote for someone only on the basis that he is standing up against the establishment and media...THAT doesn’t make a person a good President...

Trump is a strong leader and a real threat to anyone who comes against him. I don’t trust him implicitly. I like Ben Carson and Ted Cruz but we need Trump now.

Trump’s list of best leadership books include “The Art of War”, by Sun Tzu, and “The Prince”, by Niccolo Machiavelli, that anyone who follows or is involved in politics must know.

Machiavelli’s “The Prince” Chpt 18-CONCERNING THE WAY IN WHICH PRINCES SHOULD KEEP FAITH, says:

It is UNNECESSARY for a prince to have all the good qualities enumerated (merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright)

but it is VERY necessary to APPEAR to have them, with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.”

1. to have them and always to observe them is injurious
2. to appear to have them is useful

“There is nothing more important than appearing to be religious.”

Pure horsesh*t.

Cruz said he’d pursue both methods and whichever one works the fastest, yeehaw to that one.

That’s a very reasonable position.

Stomping your feet and screaming “That’s not what it says!” is unreasonable, and perhaps ignorant, given the Supreme Court’s recent decisions on the Obamacare individual mandate, gay marriage, et al.

All hands on deck. Every bucket bails. No temper tantrums while the boat is sinking!

Where in Donald Trumps’s life has he proved to be a charlatan. Maybe he will prove to be one and if so he will join the ranks of nearly everyone in DC, who are bonafide charlatans.
So what if he doesn't come up with an answer at a moments notice about a Bible Story. I have a buddy who thinks a presidential candidate should be just like Jesus Christ. Good luck with that.

that prior statement being said to explain his insincere love of “it is the thing” (the Bible) I was bored by both speeches. He said the same thing, nothing new, I almost fell asleep. What is he going to do if this is all he has and has to repeat it? It is already sounding flat.
I agree we need him to get the lazy Republicans off their cans and put some effort in it, maybe do something for the people, not themselves.

If I were running for POTUS, I don’t know that I’d answer a question about my favorite Bible character or story either.

That’s just asking for charlatans to twist Scripture against you.

You choose David because he was humble. They claim you accept adultery.

You choose Solomon because he was wise. They claim you think cutting babies in half is fair.

You choose Abraham because he was obedient. They claim you’d kill your own son.

You choose Moses because he was a reluctant leader. They claim you can’t lead your people out of the desert.

Maybe Trump doesn’t have a favorite. (I have several.) Maybe he weighed his answer and then thought better of it. Who knows?
