Regardless of one’s stance on abortion, it does seem kind of ridiculous that you can kill a perfectly healthy baby for whatever reason you want, but an unhealthy one is protected. Why don’t the healthy babies deserve the same protection?

2nd, if that 90% Down babies are aborted number is true, and pro-lifers/pro-choicers are 50/50 of the population then that means there’s a whole lot of pro-lifers that are changing their tune once once they find out it’s their baby who is as they put it “is less than perfect”.

Sadly, that seems to be true.

“Why don’t the healthy babies deserve the same protection?”

Well of course they deserve life.

This is justified along the same lines as sex-selection abortion. It is discrimination to decide to abort based on handicap. If the woman doesn’t want a pregnancy, she can end it, but she can’t discriminate based on disability or sex.
