Actually, no, I wouldn’t be ‘all over it’. I’m also not a big Trump fan - I prefer Cruz - but at the same time gentility, civility and the like have come to mean weakness. Grave weakness, in the eyes of younger generations.
The big question is this: Do you want to remain civil and genteel? Or do you want to *win*?
We tried civility and gentility in candidates in 08 and 12. How did that go again? Massive blowout, wasn’t it?
There’s weakness, and then there’s choosing your battles wisely. There’s nothing wrong with standing your ground, but what Trump is doing here is petty crap, not “winning.”

civility and gentility had absolutely nothing do to our 08 and 12 losses. Enough of our people didn’t vote in those elections, in essence saying they preferred Obama to Romney, to swing the election to the left side.
