Murdoch followed up with a pair of tweets a couple of hours later, saying, "I did not say I would vote for him! Just a friend I admire," and, "Far away from world's troubles here on Great Barrier Reef swimming and reading. Seems irresponsible."
Murdoch is the head of News Corp., which owns newspapers including the New York Post and The Wall Street Journal, and until recently oversaw Fox News and other networks as CEO of 21st Century Fox.
The Australian billionaire's apparent desire to draft Bloomberg the Democrat-turned-independent who left office in 2013 and has sent no signals he's interested in a 2016 White House bid followed a tweet apparently indicating newfound respect for the bid of Donald Trump.
Earlier this summer, Murdoch hit out at GOP presidential front-runner Trump himself a billionaire real estate tycoon as "wrong" regarding his remarks about Mexican immigrants committing crime and for "embarrassing his friends," after Trump questioned Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) status as a war hero.
He also sent a tweet suggesting Trump could emerge "unscathed" from the first GOP debate earlier this month and another saying his popularity is based on frustration with DC and endless regulations over people's lives."

Remember this is the same leftist RINO mayor that tried to regulate how much soft drinks people can drink.
He wouldn’t even carry NYC
Why, so that we can have a Federal Department of Soda Cup Size?
Well, this explains why Fox is so extreme left-wing.
Go ahead Bloomberg, waste your money, see if I care.
Bloomberg The Anti-Trump. ROFL. Bring it on you chumps.
Shut up Rupert!
First thing Trump should do is say “I’ve decided not to do anymore interviews with Fox News”. Let them interview Doomberg instead. See how many he can put to sleep.
Me thinks that there are two billionaires who are kind of sweating this one out. He wont them buy his influence. This has never happened to them before.
Because one billionaire New Yorker is in the Presidential race, it doesn’t mean that a second billionaire New Yorker should jump in.
Michael Bloomberg is just not as likable or as focused as The Donald, and to the degree he gets involved in any legal or social issues, Bloomberg is almost always on the wrong side of the debate.
You know the elites are looking for someone to cast as this election’s answer to 1980’s John Anderson, the RINO moderate put up as an “independent” to steal votes away from the conservative Republican they couldn’t defeat in the primary and hand the election to the Democrat.
“Remember this is the same leftist RINO mayor that tried to regulate how much soft drinks people can drink.”
Even worse, he wants our guns.
Onset dementia???
Sure thing Ruppie. Let him get in there and waste money on advertising and everything else associated with running for Prez.
At least that would leave less money for bloomie to spend on his virulent anti-gun campaigns.
If bloomie has any good qualities; he has kept them well hidden for a long time.
LMAO....how true this is!!!!
Yes! He may take 2% of the RINO axis vote.
If I wanted a fascist to run America, I'd want Bloomberg too.
One day, I hope that rope and lamp posts go up in price.
5.56mm
Photos of two worthless pricks! Bloomberg would never make it, we don’t elect dwarfs.
I think the GOPe is slowly losing rationality now that their strategy to manipulate a Jeb win is unraveling.
