Oregon is in the midst of its third consecutive summer of severe forest fires, and industry professionals say logging limits on federal land are largely to blame.
The fires have already made their costs felt, as the Oregon Department of Forestry has already spent an estimated $25 million to date on this year’s blazes. This comes on the heels of two consecutive severe seasons in 2013 and 2014, the former of which was the most destructive wildfire season in the state’s history.

Good opportunity for the conservation camps during the depression. The boys were given food and board and work and discipline. My dad and a bro went for a year. It was quite a thrill to be able to help out your family and do this type of work.
You could get a big deduction in forest fire carbon emissions through regime change.

the three elements a fire needs to ignite: heat, fuel, and an oxidizing agent (usually oxygen).
As a woodland fire fighter we talked about the fire square.
Take anyone away nd term fire doesn’t spread, fuel heat, oxygen and feds.
The Damn feds would come in and kick everyone off the fire and it could always seem to get away from them
Nature is infinitely more powerful than man. Two modern problems have disrupted natural rhythms:
1. Man’s high-tech interference with the natural course of burns.
2. Man’s expansion into residences in forests.
The two problems are, of course, related.

Today, hubby and I were at a Mariner's game in Seattle and there is a very heavy haze in the atmosphere that is a result of the fires in the Chehalis part of the state. Air quality not so hot right now.
FDR's policies destroyed the economy, turning a average recession into the Great Depression. He needed to do something to keep the unwashed masses from marching on Washington with tar, feathers and rails.
While federal mismanagement of the forests has caused this disaster, firefighters have died, houses have been destroyed and untold numbers of God's creatures have been flambed it would be shortsighted to just look at the downside.
Insurance agents will be busier than a one legged man in an a$$ kicking contest, home builders will have a banner year, vehicle sales will sky rocket and animal rescue folks will have all the over time they can handle.
Shoot, we even had a couple of days of smoky skies this summer all the way out here in Iowa.

Yep, the west is on fire. That’s exactly the way it looks out my front door this afternoon from fires on both sides of the mountains. Oregon is on fire, Idaho and Montana are on fire, as is California.
As far as I’m concerned you can blame it all on the feds.

The Rocky Mountains are full of dead trees from the bark bettle....just waiting for a lighting strike....the federal lands should be given back to the states......National Parks maybe run by the states but own by the Feds...These National Forest Forest Ranger is pretty much a dictator..
Follow the money. Top tier fires reward millions to contractors and Federal employees.
Throw in that this fits in perfectly with Agenda 21 ... get the rubes out of the country and packed into the “sustainable” pack and stack urban cages.
I’m sitting on my mother’s front deck in Princeton BC, and the sun finally became visible through the smoke an hour ago.
It’s brutal for those with respiratory problems.
