stephanopoulos grills trump: ‘i still haven’t heard the specifics’
Breitbart ^ | August 23-, 2015 | Pam Key

Posted on 08/23/2015 11:21:18 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” host George Stephanopoulos grilled Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on his plan to deport the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants.

Exchange as follows:

STEPHANOPOULOS: From the American action conservative group they say the federal government would have to spend roughly $400 billion to $600 billion to address the 11.2 million undocumented immigrants. Each immigrant would have to be apprehended, detained, legally processed and transported to his or her home country, in turn this would shrink the labor force by 11 million and reduce the real GDP by 1.6 trillion dollars. Are you willing to pay that price and where are you going to get the money?

TRUMP: First of all they’re wrong and Jeb Bush is a low energy person and wouldn’t be able to do it. He says they come as an act of love. People coming and many of them you look at what’s happening with the crime, many of them are really causing tremendous problems and they would be out really fast. Immediately.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Mr. Trump. they’re saying $406 billion and would require big government apparatus to take everybody down. If you don’t think those numbers are right how much will it cost and where will you get the money.”

TRUMP: It’s costing us $130 billion a year and that’s peanuts compared to what the real cost is, George. The way we have it now. You have so many illegals. We don’t even know how many. I hear 11 million. I hear 30 million. The government has no idea. We have lost control of our country. We’ve lost control of our borders. The government has no idea how many illegals are here. I’ve been hearing 11 billion for five years then I heard 30. nobody has any idea.”

"... in turn this would shrink the labor force by 11 million and reduce the real GDP by 1.6 trillion dollars".

Hey, why not have all 7 billion people in the world come here, else our GDP would be so much less.

Stephanopoulos is in idiot.

>>Trump goes into these interviews completely unprepared and it shows.

Yeah really. He needs to be prepped for these events by an army of handlers who are holding in their hands the results of polls and focus groups. We need our next president to be more teleprompter-friendly. It’s the OPTICS darn it. He needs to chase the OPTICS! That’s how a leader needs to be.

So many people have a seminar caller attitude, claim to be conservative, but for someone else, yet come up with the Hillary talking points. Yawn.

Stephanopoulos is a socialist propagandist poorly hiding as a journalist.

Most recently, he abused his moderator position to create the War on Women. He has no credibility, why talk to him?

[[Ok, Steffy, please explain how “Hope and Change” was specific. Obama the Chameleon was whatever anybody wanted him to be because he didn’t put out any specifics.]]

Added: “And you dear steffie, fell all over yourself thinking he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, and now you sit here and demand ‘specifics’ from me? Get lost you annoying little gnat! go out and get a real job, perhaps as a ballerina or something- because fair and balanced reporting is NOT your thing you little weasel!”

Simple, a piece of cake, a can of corn.
Pay a $2500 bounty to rat them out, and buy a $500 plane ticket.
30 million X $3000 = < $100 billion.

“His speech at Mobile, AL was an unmitigated disaster.”

I listened to his speech on satellite radio. It was not an unmitigated disaster. Trump is a disaster for Cruz.

Agree 100%.

And a leader such as Trump reserves the right to change priorities if the goals are better pursued by other means. It’s the intent that is important, not a particular means. And important to the notion of intent is the performance record. Trump has a performance record of getting things done much more often than not.

....”Trump goes into these interviews completely unprepared and it shows. His speech at Mobile, AL was an unmitigated disaster”....

The Mobile Rally was promoted as a “Pep Rally” Steelfish.... Trump succeeded in doing just that. This wasn’t intended to be about explaining issues or policy.

Trump clearly answered the questions with Steph......Enforce the immigration laws, hire people to manage that, secure the border, get rid of the illegal criminals, and make entering the US legally streamlined for the good ones.

Listening ears can hear Steelfish....and understand what Trumps saying. Pundits and Journalists get lost because they get caught up in ‘how’ Trump expresses his stance....the want “measured” responses because that is what they are accustomed to.

As for Cruz....he’s my choice as well....but there’s no doubt Trump is shaking the foundations and strongholds of the political parties....and they need to be. As Franklin Graham said.....

“He’s shaking up the Republican party and the political process overall. And it needs shaking up!”...... Franklin Graham

“You mean your CHRISTIAN FAITH..”

Honestly, what would you expect from a media figure who SUPPLIES THE ANSWERS for The Establishment people he pretended to interview...?

He was a member of the Bimbo Suppression Team, for crying out loud.

The man’s DECADES long career has been protecting the status quo against outside challengers and he is utterly unchanged today.

The way to pay for all of this is simple and Trump knows this. We simply take over their Oil Fields and that is how they will pay for it, and while we are at it they can reimburse us for all the welfare and medical costs we have incurred with all their Illegals.
Let’s see how the MSM and Eastern Liberals like that idea.

While I cannot abide the idiot George Step - I do think he has a point is asking for a few more specifics. Not - about every detail, but Donald Trump is being totally evasive in his answers.

We need to get a border fence first. That is essential. Then we need to develop a workable plan on how to manage the enormous mess that has accumulated within our borders of millions of undocumented people. We used to call then ‘wetbacks’; now we are told that even the term anchor baby is offensive. and we are not supposed to call them illegal aliens either [according to the PC police].

The situation is intolerable, and Trump is right about that. So we are at an impasse and the liberals in the news media think that somehow we should continue on in the same manner.

I am rambling on here and it is no wonder that people are angry about it. Still I wish Donald Trump would get a few better answers for the George Stepanopoulis’s of the world.

How about something like this, “George the situation is not tolerable, We MUST DO something to control our borders. Without borders we relinquish our sovereignty. More specifics will come later. If is was easy, it would have been done already. People will need to trust that I will secure our borders, and deal with the illegal aliens later, and there will be no blanket amnesty.”

by the way I saw that interview now contrast that to when they interview Sanders and Hillary and all their pie in the sky ideas and programs, they never ask them how they will pay for any it.
