Wisconsin Governor and Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker said hes not taking a position one way or the other on birthright citizenship, and all other issues pertaining to immigration cant be addressed until you actually secure the borders and enforce the laws in an interview with CNBCs John Harwood released on Friday.
Walker was asked about his support for ending birthright citizenship. He stated, When it comes to birthright, or anything else, I said until you actually secure the border, and start enforcing the laws, any politician who talks about anything else beyond that, the American people should be suspect, because weve talked for 25 years about those things. Ive actually talked about doing it.
Walker was asked about his position on a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, he maintained that in both of those instances, I dont think any of those issues can be addressed until you actually secure the borders and enforce the laws.

Polling indicates most want the practice change. The time is ripe and may not come again. The La raza hordes and cheap labor profiteers are going to fight this, we might as well take ‘em on now.
I thought Scott Walker had potential, now I see him for what he really is, a big pussy.
Can I say that?
Consider too that according to Mexican law, every child born to a Mexican anywhere in the world is a Mexican national. Therefore, Mexican anchor babies are not subject to our jurisdiction, and their mothers ought to be sent down to the nearest Mexican consulate to register their babies. Or go home to Mexico.
DQ.
I was a Walker guy, now it’s clear he’s nothing but a puppet.
Punting on an issue so important to nearly all American voters?
Walker is done for, now it’s only a matter of time before he bleeds out and disappears.
If I'm not mistaken, he has also STOPPED COLD with any explanation of exactly how he would secure the border and what he would do with the illegals here now.
Walker is out of my top 3. Has been for awhile. The man has no fire and is a weak leader.
You would be correct.
Walker is proving that he needs to get a grip and fast. I’m sorry for him that he has talent, undoubtedly, but is looking far more unready than we had all hoped for him.
His near miracles in Wisconsin prove his conservative credentials for economics, but on national and international issues of other types he seems at the least unprepared and at worse, stumped.
Walker and Bush are pretty step and step on all the issues. Gee who to support...who to support...neither!
“Let’s not talk about the broken bone, when the skin around it hasn’t healed up yet.”
Yes, Walker’s position IS that stupid.
Walker is demonstrating in real time that the skills needed to be a good Governor do not necessarily translate well to the federal level.
Vintage Scott Walker.
He’s about #6 on my list of candidates. I’d vote for him, but I’m hoping we don’t go down that far.
He is a cupcake.Read into that what you will.
Back in the more intellectual days. ;o)
First Rubio (”anchor babies are humans too that have stories”) and now Walker. Both are now positively revealed as weak, spineless flip-floppers on THE 2016 campaign issue established by Donald Trump that will dominate the entire election. So,essentially those two are out of the race now for all practical purposes. Christie, Perry and Graham are fading from view, and Carly is already whining that she’s likely to be relegated to the kiddie table again by CNN.
So the deck is being cleared quite early in the voyage, leaving the real men to duke it out.
They were good daze.
I miss a lot of those folks: Dog Gone, hopalong, Ticonderoga, Askel5...
Sorry, Walker had to DOUBLE-BACK on the issue as he was OBVIOUSLY told in, no uncertain terms, by his handlers that being against Anchor Babies was not permitted. No other reason for a person to flip on something that important, that quickly.
His handlers (i.e., money men) did a LOUSY job of getting him ready for this campaign. He should have had all of this immigration stuff down solid before campaigning...but he keeps putting his foot in his mouth (in their opinion) when he tries to sound like Trump.
