Military Sources, "About 50 N. Korean Submarines Left Their Bases...Can't be Located"

2015.08.23 15:23

/begin my translation

Dozens of N. Korean submarines left their bases at both Eastern and Western coast, and can't be located. Military are increasing their surveillance capability to track them, it is confirmed.

That accounts for 70% of (N. Korea's) submarine fleet, which totals 70 ships. This is the largest rate of deployment since the Korean War.

Military sources said, "This is 10 times more than their normal deployment level. Dozens of them left their bases at both coasts, and we are unable to track them."

They said, "70% of their submarine fleet is not located. We are increasing our surveillance capability to find them."

They suspect that the unusually high level of N. Korea's submarine movements may be for further military provocation, and raised their level of alert.

N. Korea also more than doubled its front-line deployment of artillery power, since the high-level talks began.

The sources said, "Since the talks began, their front-line artillery power has more than doubled."

As sort of a PS, I hope your jaw feels better. Those things tend to get into a nerve and everything downstream from the infection on the jaw hurts like hell. (all the uppers on one side, or lowers, or both. An ice pack helped me when I had one—seemed to calm the nerve pain down.

Now is the time for countries to do mischief. Won’t be as easy with a Trump or Cruz presidency.

South Korea is one of the top 3 countries that like America the most. With 82% viewing the US favorably.

Maybe the Chinese are just fortifying their frontier in case of massive counter attack by SK. Or if it looks like the Norks are going to be totally overwhelmed, the Chinese will come in and secure NK for their buffer zone.

Which is why SK has been transferring much of their government operations to Dajeon or something

Mr. Ambassador, You have nearly every vessel operating in the North Atlantic right now, Your aircraft have dropped enough sonar buoys that a man could walk from Greenland to Scotland without getting his feet wet. Shall we dispense with the bull?

Change a few words to make Hunt for Red October fit to the Asia region.

About 6 months ago I opined that the two coming years will be the most dangerous times of this administration and probably the most dangerous times we have lived in for at least the last 30 years.

What is done is seldom undone and we have so many problems that Korea would have to fend for themselves for quite some time. The Donald also gave what may have been unintended encouragement to anyone wanting to make a conquest when he suggested that the U.S. should not intervene in just any battle. They know obongo will not do a thing... he didn’t in Iran, Egypt or Libya.

There will probably not be a better time than now for some time to come for some idiot like Kim to fire up.

This time, China will be on South Korea’s side. If Little Kim tries anything, he’s being reminded that an ugly surprise is waiting to pour across his lightly defended northern border. The last thing the Chinese want is millions of North Korean refugees streaming northward - they’ll take military action both to keep the refugees at home and to ease the pressure on their very large trading partner to the South. Too much money at stake for the Mandarins, and a Cold War relic like Kim has nothing of value to offer Beijing in return for their support.

TRL,

Not good news.

Subs sailing and enemy going after your recon satellites are two of the most significant threat level increase drivers.

NORK subs are limited range but very quiet Diesel electric boats.

Landing NORK SF in the South?

Watch tunnel activity.

Please keep us UTD

We probably have satellites or other underwater listening devices that could hear a dolphin fart. But all with the unfortunate reality that we have a p*ssy for president.

That’s right, and a conscripted force, where even the ROK equivalent of the Romney boys have to serve. Thus they get a tough military, without dropping standards, full of men ready to go to war.

I’m surprised that China hasn’t used the opportunity to strike a deal while the Quisling in Chief is still in office. China removes the lunatic NK regime in exchange for the U.S. abandoning Taiwan and removing its troops from SK. It would fit with China’s expansionist policy in the waters of east and Southeast Asia. With the U.S. gone from the region, China could bully its neighbours with impunity.

Type 83 self-propelled 152mm gun-howitzer.

Atsa rog.

Worse than tanks in this setting. Tanks can be used for many things. You only move Arty out of prepared revetments when you have to shoot further.
