Tens of thousands of people turned out in Mobile, Ala. on Friday night for a pep rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The event had been planned to be held at the nearby Civic Center venue in Mobile -- seating capacity 1,950 -- but was moved to the 43,000-seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium to accommodate what Trump campaign organizers anticipated to be a very large crowd.
Just how large is still somewhat unclear. The official crowd estimate released by the city of Mobile on Friday night was 30,000.

Hey, Roberts, how many millions watched it?
And the ones who attended did so with a forecast of rain and umbrellas not allowed in the stadium. Pretty darn enthusiastic if you ask me.
Last night at the ATL airport the CNN feed just before the speech kept harping on how small the crowd was in the stadium. Blah blah— had to catch a flight so I viewed it this AM. Pretty good enthusiasm I’ll say.
Actually, this stadium has turnstiles which count.
That is why the city of Mobile could say there were 30,000 in the stadium last night.
“Didnt CNN report it as dozens?
There’s a link to CNN in the article. City of Mobile states 30,000.
That is a very young crowd.
Contrast it with ¡Yeb’s geriatric luncheons.
I live in Mobile and have been to Ladd Stadium many times. The estimates of 30,000 are accurate.
There was a local media clown that was trying to downplay the event and said a “crowd of 12,000” just right before the event. Alabama media members are some of the most agenda driven. They’re all on board the gay agenda, feminists issues, pro abortion, etc.
A few things competing with Trump last night were the weather (threat of thunderstorms or it was going to be too damn hot and humid) and the start of HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL which is obviously huge in this region of the country.
Anyone saying 20,000 or less is a liar.
“Actually, this stadium has turnstiles which count.”
Awesome! That needs to be reported, thanks
Two points...
Didn’t the stadium have the “counting” type turnstiles? That would give a tally pretty quickly.
Also, I’m sure Trump is curious about the numbers, and I’m surprised he’s not demanding that the attendees be counted. It would be hilarious...and true Trump style...to count the crowd and then wait for CNN or some other lib site to issue a “count”...and then come back with the true count.
Sander's still holds the top for his 100K+ online rally. I'm sure we will so more of these. Maybe Trump can pull a million together for a live online rally?
Not rocket science, add up the turn stile counters.
I gotta say that red haired woman holding the baby is scary looking. Real scary looking.
Really?
I just think she’s having a Trumpgasm....
Agree. See post #5.
Plus it was start of hs football season down there.
Funny graphic. Wasn’t there an event for W many years ago with a (supposed) large attendance — then it was discovered that the “crowd” was cloned? Big patches of people re-appearing throughout the photo. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think I recall that happening.
“After the speech, John Roberts told Lou Dobbs that he did a quick count of one section and from that deduced that there were 8-10,000.
I couldnt believe it.”
We are finally seeing the truth about Faux News. They will find out, if they keep screwing with Trump, that their “vaunted viewership” will be disappearing. The number of their shows I watch is dropping on almost a daily basis starting with O’Gasbag and Megyn! Even old Judge Nappy is starting to grate on me.
John Roberts shows he is not even qualified for a warehouse job where inventory control requires people who can count.
