From article: "The problem for Governor Walker is that more than anything conservatives are looking for principled leadership on the issues, and being a Johnny-come-lately or staying silent until pressed on every issue from amnesty and illegal immigration, to the DC Republican establishment’s regular betrayal of conservative principles shows Scott Walker to be more like a weathervane following the political winds, than a compass pointing true North on the foundational principles of the conservative agenda."

When will the GOP figure out we need a strong leader, not just another politician? To me, that is why Trump, Carson and Fiorina, the three non-politicians, have lots of traction.

I had high hopes for Walker, but he has turned out to be a big disappointment so far.

Walker has been a disappointment. He is in over his head, it appears, and these flip-flops every other day don’t help. He has damaged his future in WI as well, so this will not turn out well.

Scott Walker has been an excellent Governor. However, he has clearly demonstrated a lack of the core principles needed at this time at the Presidential level.

Trump is forcing a narrative the GOPe did not want.

My gut feelings are rarely if ever wrong and this guy struck me as an establishment stealth amnesty candidate from the first.

He’s trying to find some middle ground between standing with the citizens and the rule of law or standing with the illegal aliens and their employers.

There is no middle ground, Scott, you are either FOR American sovereignty or you are not.

You are either FOR the rule of law or your are not.

You are either FOR a proper definition of the 14th (which was never inteded to be applied to children of illegal aliens) or you are not.

He is friends with Rancid Prius and Paul Ryan, both cheap labor importers.

He never noticed a group calling itself Voces de la Frontera, “Voices of the Frontier” (of Mexico) operating in Wisconsin helping illegal aliens colonize his state. I wonder if he knows that the frontier with Mexico is hundreds of miles from Wisconsin?

“I’m not taking a position one way or the other,” Walker said ...

And that's the problem. The problem with almost all politicians. And the political elites wonder why the serfs are so angry. This is the sort of waffling that drives people nuts. I have more respect for someone who will just say what they think, even if I don't agree with it, than some Eggo Waffle statement from some politician trying to have it all ways or who knows what way. Perhaps they don't even remember what they believe in anymore.

Walker is a good fighter, but he doesn’t seem to be a very good politician.

Well, well, well. Wally Walker, the waffle-whiffer. Another eGOP standard issue politician with all the backbone of a weak tit, will cave in to the first negative opposition opinion like a beaten spouse. Piss ants have larger testes.

Give Walker a break. It takes extraordinary skill for his GOPe big money handlers pulling his strings to keep in time with the latest Trump declaration.

A few months back, I was leaning toward Walker. But he lacks clarity. I think an absence of clarity usually indicates an absence of honesty, an attempt to hide discrepancies and contradictions.
Like the old saying goes, would you buy a used car from this man? With Walker, at this point, I wouldn’t be sure of the color and the number of wheels.

The problem is with the way the constitutional provision on birthright is being interpreted. I heard two local talk show hosts both of which are highly influential (Walker or his staff listen to these people) disagree with what Levin said it actually is. Which by the way I totally agree with Levin. Even Cruz has had problems with it.

What that NBC interviewer could have followed up with was this question; Do you believe foreigners and illegals can dump their mates off here have a kid and it becomes a citizen ? To which he would have answered hell no.

There is no doubt in my mind, Walker would never consider supportimg any such a thing as allowing foreigners or illegals dump their pregnant wives off here have a kid here and claim it’s a citizen of this country.
