He’s doing it for money and to increase his “brand awareness.” If he was doing it to improve the country he wouldn’t joke about demanding money. This is an ego trip. And when he gets tired and moves on, the GOP race with be a withered shell.

Donald Trump is a household name. He does not have to up his brand recognition. Maybe, just maybe, he really believes he can help stop this Country from going down the crapper. Just a thought. But he’s going to do it his way and not the way the press and the Party wants him to and THAT is his appeal.

There is nothing to be gained by Trump dropping out now.

Ross Perot dropped out of the 1992 race and he's been a national laughingstock ever since then. People lost respect for him and he never gained it back. That run did nothing to boost Perot's "brand awareness." In fact, he's been absent from the public scene since. I had to search him in Google to see if he was still alive (he is).

Trump's not going to let that happen to him. His legacy is at stake here. If he carries this to the end and loses fair and square to another candidate, people can respect that. But if he drops out because he was just doing this for a lark (as you seem to suggest), then he will have destroyed his reputation - just like Perot.

Darn it, shut your mouth and eat the bread and watch the circuses!

Donald Trump is the wisest, humblest, most selfless man who ever lived.

He's like Ron Paul, Vladimir Putin, Pat Buchanan, and Ross Perot rolled into one!

He’s giving it to charity. You appear to be a victim of the green-eyed monster.

Not only that but he's doing Bill a favor so in a three way race, Hillary wins by default.

So what if Trump is doing this....our fall guy is Cruz , though I hope actually Cruz gets the nomination, if Trump wins I’ll gladly vote for him as I believe he’ll have a very strong cabinet around him.

That's actually so stupid it's funny. Yeah. He's going to be hated by millions who trusted him, open himself up to lawsuits, anger corporate sponsors/donors, and set himself up for ridicule and disgrace, because once he bags from the race, he plans to make it all back and then some by selling Trump branded sport-coats and a line of men's cologne. It's so retarded it's funny.

He is pointing out the fact that the network is making a lot of money from the debate due, in part to his presence, and he thinks they should have “skin in the game” and donate it to charity.

He already had a hit network tv show with a renewal offer. Going into politics wouldn’t be expected to increase awareness of him. These political events don’t get better ratings than his show, until now. He’s increasing the awareness of politics, not the other way around.

So you're whining that the GOP race is boring without him... fascinating.

It's also moronic. The media attacks will treble if Trump leaves, and if Trump goes third party (because of the laughably stupid Loyalty Pledge that the GOP is requiring), the election becomes much more interesting. Clinton won in 1992 with barely 43 percent of the vote. That record may be broken if Trump goes third party next year.
