Problem is, is that neither Julia Lynch’s citizenship (she was born in the U.S. pre-1844 to parents who showed no inclination in becoming U.S. citizens) can have her citizenship revoked anymore than those born to illegal aliens 50, 70, 90 years ago (or even 5 minutes ago) can have their citizenship retroactively revoked.
If that was the case, then those descended from (or born to) parents or even grandparents who were illegals (from South America, Europe or anywhere) could have their citizenship revoked retroactively.
Never gonna happen.
Why? Unconstitutional.
Courts do wrongfully decide. Never say never.
Congress could remedy with no ex post facto in some manner.
Where were the “illegals” from Europe “50, 70, or 90 years ago” that you are talking about? Immigration to the U.S. from Europe historically was a tightly controlled process by the U.S. government with quotas and entrance requirements. We have NEVER had anything LIKE the lawlessness of what has been occurring on the southern border since the late 50’s due to the federal government’s total abdication of its enforcement responsibilities on immigration law, and Ted Kennedy’s abominable legislation opening the doors to illegality, in the entire history of this country. You sound like a mouthpiece for LaRaza, spewing historical distortion to further the hateful destructive agenda of that group.
