Some residents and journalists near the blast site in Tianjin experienced skin burns as rain hit the Binhai New Area on Tuesday.
Amid fears the rain could spark toxic reactions with chemicals at the site - in particular with hundreds of tonnes of sodium cyanide - an official urged the public to "stay far away".
As the rain progressed, an unusual white foam emerged on roads near the blast site. A journalist for Caixin reported feeling burns on the lips and arms after being exposed to the rain.
Mystery cyanide foam ... massive fish die-off ... toads ... Dixie Chicks
I wouldn’t wish a plague of Dixie Chicks on the Chinese.
Than again, maybe it’d be better for them to be there than here.
“You will experience a slight tingling sensation then DEATH.”
“Side effects include DEATH.”
“Drinking this product along with any meal could result in DEATH.”
This reads like one of those late-night pill infomercials.
But America is the world’s polluter according to the treehuggers.
We are. We’ve sent sent so much industrial capacity overseas to countries with no environmental controls that it’s resulted in more pollution world wide rather than less. You can thank the EPA for that.
That first line was a quote from “let’s kill Hitler” wasn’t it?
A Fellow Whovian, I see.

THANK YOU, I wondered if I was the only one!
You forgot the greasy diarrhea that goes with it.
No prob. I’ve worked with sodium cyanide in a brake factory. It’s heated up with an induction coil and becomes molten. Parts are then dipped in it to be heat treated. It’s some seriously nasty sh¡t, and is not easily diluted in its solid state.
If it’s as bad as they say, a lot of people will be sick or dead in the coming months and years.
