Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was trained in the proper handling of classified information by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security according to the Diplomatic Security 2009 Year in Review booklet the bureau posted online.
Under the heading “Safe Handling of Information” on page 21 the bureau boasted of its efforts to quickly bring new Obama administration appointees up to speed on security issues.
“DS also provides new Department of State employees with training in the proper handling of sensitive and classified information.
“DS contributed to the smooth transition of U.S. government officials by providing more than 180 members of the new Obama administration–ranging from Secretary Clinton to various ambassadors and other presidential appointees–with security training, and immediate access to highly classified systems and other information products critical to their new roles.
“In 2009, DS delivered information security educational briefings to nearly 6,000 State Department employees, contractors and personnel from other government agencies.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported last week, Clinton was one of a select few high ranking government officials granted by President Barack Obama with the authority and responsibility to classify information on sight as ‘top secret’ or ‘secret’, known as “Original Classification Authority.”

Anybody who handles classified info is trained before they are allowed to access it.
They must be cleared.
They must be trained in the handling of it.
They must have have a need to know.
She had the need to know. She was trained in what she could and could not do. She had the clearance.
She violated all these principles by sharing data with Abedin who could not be cleared.

Don’t take this as defending Hillary. But what about John Kerry who says he assumes his emails are being read by China and Russia? What about the hacks that have happened under this administration? Is there no one responsible for keeping information safe? Have we spent the last 6 3/4 years allowing full access to all our information, except of course the the American public from whom details are always withheld?

Was speaking with an army officer friend today about this.
Any ‘normal’ user of classified products would see their career end over anything even half this bad.
Any potential, much less confirmed, leakage is enough to prompt massive system shut downs and disconnects
Even inadvertent leakage requires the receiver to recognize the classified, or even potentially classified material has been sent over an unsecured system.
Step one disconnect from the ether, step two shut down the system, step three report, step four protect the potentially compromised unsecured system until it is given over to proper custodial authority for investigation.
This is what happens when training in pencil whipped and senior leaders are not held to the same standards.

JW ought to file a new FOIA request seeking to know how many department employees were reprimanded for mishandling classified material while she was the Secretary.

The John Kerry-affiliated group VIPS that helped go after Cheney and Scooter Libby over the Niger yellowcake business was joined by Ellesberg's so-called "Truth-Telling Project" [see the Pentagon Papers], a project to encourage leakers to break the law by leaking classified materials.
I work in the stock market .... about 40 years now. Arg!
They license me and I pay big time. I’m tested over and over and over on testing sites. They have to do that for high security clearances.
