Charlie Gasparino reports on Fox News that GOP donors have told him that both Rubio and Walker are planning an ad assault on Donald Trump after labor day in order to ‘reset the primary’. This is sooner than they would have planned to do this, Gasparino says, but it’s becoming critical for them: Gasparino says they aren’t coordinating, but I suspect their donors who leaked this to him are certainly coordinating. After all their money is on the line.

I shouldn’t laugh at that, but I did.
And that will probably be exactly how this turns out for Rubio and Walker. They’ll spend millions for the ads and Trump will respond at a press conference with a few one-liners that will get more mileage and make everyone forget the ads.

Trump is right. Donors tell candidates what to do.
Rubio and Walker are just following orders from their masters.
Not surprised about Rubio. I would be surprised if Walker participates.
